"Enjoyed our visit to Salem and the Merchant. This hotel was on my wife's bucket list. I would have looked for a first floor room when I booked if I realized I would have to climb to the third floor with significant disability of my legs. We may return to the Merchant if we can get first floor accommodations. "

"Loved loved LOVED this hotel. So many haunted experiences and I loved each one. Rooms are very old fashioned but homey. Loved the kind service and overall a very pleasant stay! Food is great as well!"

"The hotel itself is very clean and in a great walkable area. Close to a number of good restaurants and great bars. Even a few secret spots if you know who to ask. The only problem I had was with the front desk announcing my room number in the lobby. That should NEVER be done for safety reasons, especially as a sometimes solo traveler. Please address this with the staff. If you have written it down on the key card it doesn't need to be said out loud."
