The room was big, and enjoyed are private porch. It was hard not having any staff on hand.

We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your recent experience at the Inn on Peaks Island. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the spacious room and private balcony. I'm sorry there wasn't much staff around. With it being our off-season, we have lost many employees that were seasonal. We understand this may have posed some challenges and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused. Please know that we are working to ensure that our off-season operations meets the high standards you can expect from us.Thank you for choosing The Inn on Peaks and we hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future!
Very nice inn on small island. We had room overlooking Casco Bay with Portland in background. Great island to ride bikes or rent golf cart. It was very busy during weekend because lots of day trippers.

We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us! Please come again soon.
We had a wonderful time! Lovely Inn very friendly staff and accommodations. beautiful views of Portland skyline, ocean and sunset. Amazing beaches. Thank you for everything! We had an amazing 40th anniversary get-a-way!
Thoroughly enjoyed the Inn! Clean, quiet, very friendly people from Jason to the gentleman doing some work on the inn. Took time to visit. I would have enjoyed my stay more if the restaurant would have been open during our stay. Great place! Definitely worth a visit.

Property was really pretty and room was very nice. We wish we had known that everything was shut down. We arrived at @ 6, and there were no places to eat. We had no knowledge the off-season had started
This was one of our favorite properties on our New England trip. The room was beautiful and cozy with a pull out bed for my mom. Unfortunately, getting to the property was a disaster. We had no idea everything closed so early in New England during the fall and winter seasons. Before booking, Expedia did not mention needing to take a ferry to the island where the property is located. I found that out on the hotel’s actual website. We booked back at the end of august and had looked up ferry information then, and then forgot when we actually went to Maine two months later. Someone at the property had messaged us to see if we would be checking in before 8pm that night which was nice of them and they had told us that they think the last car ferry ride was at 7:30 so we booked it to go to the ferry. It was 6 pm for reference, and had just finished dinner. It had turned out that the last ferry was at 5:30 pm. So my husband dropped my mom and I off with all of our luggage and it took him more than an hour to find an overnight parking garage. It was a mess as most overnight parking garages were full and far away. It was our fault I guess for not looking into the ferry times more in depth but I think it would be helpful if the hotel property sent like an email reminder beforehand. We did not get to enjoy the island or the property to its full potential, but we definitely want to come back and stay at Peaks Inn! I’m sure it would have been even better had things gone better!
Wonderful hotel and restaurant facilities—clean, comfortable, spacious room (Chabegue) with comfy air conditioning and bedding. Room is well appointed (e.g., large living area, cathedral ceiling with fire place and stocked refrigerator too!). The view from the room is spectacular and includes a balcony—sunset view is breathtaking! We will be back and highly recommend. The staff are super friendly and accommodating—service is 5 Star. Restaurant is top notch and breakfast was excellent!

Thank you for your stay! We look forward to your next visit.
The fireplace was out of order, which wasn’t a big deal but I would have expected a discount on the rate of the room. The toilet seat had no lid and while taking a bath I had a perfect angle into the toilet bowl which didn’t look so clean and I ended up having to put a towel over the toilet so I didn’t have to see the dirty toilet.

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We appreciate your feedback and will work on addressing the issues that you've mentioned!
Somehow our reservation through Expedia was not communicated to them, but they were very accommodating and kind about the confusion. This was on top of dealing with a water main break between islands (not their issue-not islands were on boil before use status). They provided us with bottled water and offered a generous rate on a substitute room as ours had been rented to another guest. On top of fantastic service, the rooms are cozy and beautiful, and most offer breathtaking views of the sunset over the bay. We will definitely return to Inn on Peaks Island!

Best,
Beautiful Inn overlooking the harbor. Cottage style furniture, huge room with fireplace, couch, daybed and queen bed. Sliders to outside space with tiny uncomfortable seating. This is a small island with gorgeous views however you wouldn’t know it from inside. TV didn’t work and left 3 messages to tell front desk (this is manned intermittently by very busy workers). Nice guy came and figured it all out. The outside space was so sad. We were perched above a roof top with lattice work fence. Only other outside seating was a pretty couch area on the porch. Unfortunately this was always surrounded by the unfortunate garbage or old fish smells. It was Sunday, I guess island garbage day is Monday?
The real downfall here is they don’t touch your room. We’re not slobs however for nearly $700 for 2 nights you would expect some neatening up, making the bed, perhaps fresh towels?
Pleasant but with a little TLC (someone should be in charge) everything could be top notch! Best of luck, since you’re the only Inn on the Island.
The Property was beautiful, clean, very friendly environment, the Ambience, Decor, convenience, very easy access to Portland from Peakes, the Food was amazing, we enjoyed it very much , and was very comfotable..

Thank you for taking the time to review our establishment. If you have any feedback on what we can do to improve it is always greatly appreciated.
i had a reservation for fri and Sat Night. I had never stayed on Peaks Island.
Driving towards Portland I started calling the Inn to ask about parking about 3 PM. I received a voice message stating winter hours and dial 1 for the Front Desk. I called every 1/2 hour with no word. It was dark and the February wind howled by the time I reached the ferry.
The ferry line confirmed that the Inn was open ,I boarded and took a chance.
The Inn was excellent. It surpassed my expectations- 1st rate!

We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon!
Very nice stay at the Inn on Peaks Island. The island is easily accessible by an affordable ($7.50) ferry from downtown Portland, and the Inn is a short walk from the ferry stop. There are great views of Portland and very comfortable rooms at the Inn.
