The stunning slopes of Mount Buller offer the perfect getaway adventure in the Victorian Alps. Whether you’re skiing, snowboarding or speeding down the slopes on a toboggan, find plenty of terrain to explore at this premier Victorian ski destination.

Bring your own equipment or rent top-of-the-range ski or snowboard gear at the mountain. Beginners and those looking to improve their moves on the mountain can join group or private lessons with skilled instructors. Learn to telemark ski. Tour the mountain with your instructor, riding some of the 22 lifts and discovering Mount Buller’s secret trails.

Novices through experts will find exciting runs to explore, from beginner slopes to challenging black-diamond chutes and moguls. Twilight skiing is also available on select runs. Work on jumps and tricks on the kickers, boxes and rails of three different terrain parks.

Explore the wider resort area and enjoy beautiful views of Mount Stirling and the Bluff. Cross-country ski on 5 miles (9 kilometers) of trails behind the village.

Take a rest from carving on the slopes with a meal or snack in the village. Find cafés, restaurants, dining halls and grocery stores to meet your needs.

Grab a toboggan and sled down the hills at the snowplay parks. Go snowshoeing or stroll along the Sculpture Park Walk in the village. Let kids enjoy hot chocolate along the Gnome Roam Trail. Relax at a movie at the village’s cinema or investigate the National Alpine Museum. The resort’s spa retreat offers soothing treatments and massages.

Enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding Victorian Alps with a ride in a helicopter or on the Northside Express scenic chairlift. Dog-sled tours offer a different perspective of Mount Buller’s quiet snowgum forests.

Reach Mount Buller via a 3-hour drive from Melbourne. International flights arrive at Melbourne Airport in Tullamarine. Buses bound for the resort depart from several locations in the city. The season runs from June until late September. Multi-day and package deal ski passes are available, as well as discounts for students and seniors. Enjoy ski-in, ski-out accommodations at several areas at the resort, including apartments and hotels.

Return to Mount Buller in the warmer months to enjoy activities in the cool alpine environment. Hike, run or bike along trails for all levels of ability. Take scenic chairlift rides and play tennis. Over at adjacent Mt. Stirling resort, go four-wheel driving or horseback riding. With so much beautiful scenery to see, you can always simply relax with a picnic and take in the stunning views of the high country.
