Over all the stay was good. Only issues - Booked a specific room a month in advance. When we arrived during the check in process I noticed we were given a completely different room. When I brought that to their attention. We were told they accidentally gave our room away. The disappointment although they apologized. They said we can accept the room or refund us. Yea take it or leave it on Memorial weekend. We drove 3 hours, I was wanting this to be a little romantic getaway experience for my girlfriend. The room I booked had a romantic tropical vibe to it. Wanted something that expressed that there was actually a thought process choosing our room. Especially since it’s our first time staying out of town in months. Although the room was clean.. The point here is, that it was a standard two queen room that I could have rented at any Marriot, Farefield etc. Never received a credit for a down graded room and was told it was an upgrade then what I had originally booked, which was not an upgrade. So the mood was lost. The other part is the parking was horrible. Empty boat trailers taking up parking. The staff was nice and helpful and did extend our check out time an hour and made it clear anything over an hour I would be charged $50.00 an hour to extend. Again place is nice with exception of a few things I spoke about. Would I say there again? Probably not..

The amenities is what brings me back. I have stayed at the hotel 6 different trips. Love having the use of Kayaks bikes and fishing poles. The pool area is great for cooling off. I will be back for a 7th trip!

the photos are misleading, For 300 USD a night you expect a nice place, that your bed will be made or that breakfast will be available even if you have to pay separately. The hotel has no charm.

Room 501 - Canal side. Clean and comfortable property. While the building I was in is dated, the room was very clean, good size and the bed was comfortable. A rarity in US hotels, the air conditioner was actually quiet and worked perfectly. The only not great thing was the door to the outside - did not fit the frame well resulting in the deadbolt not working and the main door lock is a simple door knob with a push in lock. I never felt unsafe though. The property has a nice pool area and BBQ facilities next to it but it was so hot and no wind during my visit I did not use the amenities. The property is next to the airport but I only heard planes a few times and briefly. The noise from the boat dock area, next to my room, was worse as it was very early 0630-0700 but only a couple of times, not a big deal. I will definitely considering staying here again.

Really upsetting that I upgraded my reservations to a room with two beds and Expedia, fail to communicate with the hotel when we. Arrived we got a one bed for four adults. I call to complain and the customer service stated I will be receiving $ 100 key cash for the inconvenience right away and we have not received it. To add to our frustration lack of communication of the hotel they gave us a key for a room with two beds and when we open the room it was already in use. I always use Expedia but right now they are not keeping up to what they said they will do. Very disappointed
