"The staff is absolutely amazing. Raj was wonderful helping me with taxis, excursions, and even helped me with my phone when it was having issues. Bicum, Nisan, Noraj and Ram are awesome. They are extremely friendly, helpful and kind. They all really made my stay very nice. The hotel is in a great location, with many shops and restaurants in close walking distance. The breakfast is very good as well. And the cook is very good. I spent three very enjoyable weeks at this hotel. I look...

"I loved staying in the quiet, spacious, clean rooms overlooking the courtyard. The hotel staff were exceptional--helpful in every way. And I thought the decor was beautiful. The food in the hotel restaurant was delicious--and the views from the rooftop were outstanding. I will return the next time I am in Kathmandu."

"I never leave reviews but I feel it is important for travelers to know what a wonderful hotel this is. Let me start by saying that the entire staff are among some of the kindest and genuine people I have come across in a long time. They themselves get 5 stars. The rooms are fantastic and the beds are super comfy. The hotel is also amazingly quiet. I couldn’t believe I was in Kathmandu! Its is beautifully decorated with thoughtful flowers and landscaping. "I loved everything about to but had been under the impression that a washer/dryer was available but it wasn’t. You would have to pay a fee per item to be washed and the fee was way too high- 90rupees for per shirt, etc. that was very disappointing. Other than that I enjoyed staying there."

Royal Penguin Boutique Hotel & Spa
4.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (159)
"Upon entering the room we were impressed by the blue led lighting strips. It gave us the sense that we were going into a room of the future. However, they have enough other lights that we were able to read without any effort. (I don't really like hotels that are mood-lit and never able to make bright enough to read anywhere). The bath tub was wonderful. It is so great to sit and soak after a great trek."

Hotel Bliss International
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (115)
"Narrow streets around this area so there can be a bit of traffic noise. The airport pickup service works brilliantly and is reasonably priced. The welcome received on arrival was so friendly and lovely. Breakfast is a little limited but good - I recommend the masala omelette. Room was a good size and bed was comfortable."
