It’s a very grand hotel with amazing view of the Sakuajima. Loved the onsen! Great services and a good variety and quality of breakfast. The only thing that bothered me was the thin walls of the room it can get a bit noisy at night, but everything else was good enough to make up for the only problem. The hotel also has nice souvenir shops.

Hotel is located on top of a hill, with views of Sakurajima. Hotel provides half hourly complimentary bus shuttle to Tenmonkan and train station. Journey can take 15-30 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Indoor onsen has hot and cold water pools and outdoor onsen has a lovely view of Sakurajima. This was the reason I chose to stay at Shiroyama. Watched sunrise from outdoor onsen on one morning. Service is good.

Great location on top of a hill with views of the city and volcanoe (weather permitting). Great onsen. It’s a huge and busy hotel. The staff was able to make a reservation in one of their restaurants and we loved it (best tempura we had). Bar Cellar is nice too. Staff very nice and some spoke English.

We love Shiroyama Hotel. Excellent location, view of Sakurajima, staff is wonderful. Home away from home. The shuttle bus will also be convenient for many guests that would like to get down into town and shop or eat at leisure.

Excellent staff who are very keen to help. Concierge is of excellent levels. You have pay to use the gym which was the first time we experienced and about $20 sgd. It’s a distance to town so good to honeymooners who want to stay mainly in the room. It’s short hike down of about 15 mins or take the shuttle bus. If you want to be in the heart of town, stay elsewhere. Property is on the older style and walls are thin. We could hear the next room. What they lack they make it up by excellent service and hospitality. Property is huge and beautiful. You get to see great views of the Volcano. There’s a family mart downstairs.

The property is set on a hill and commands beautiful views of the city, the bay and Sakurajima. The staff and everything about the hotel is excellent. The hotspring bath was wonderful with views to Sakurajima. The hotel also has its own regular shuttle buses to take guests back and forth to the station and main shopping area which are free of charge!

Great location for viewing the volcano. Not great for eating other than in the hotel Tiny bathroom but i used the showers in the onsen. Huge breakfast buffet. Great onsen. Big and confusing but overall good.

Alot of hotel staff onhand to assist, great concierge. Food was good, with many different restaurants in the hotel, albeit pricey. The hotel onsen was amazing with both indoor and outdoor options!

食事もよかったです。ただ、階下のレストランの値段が高かったです。桜島は私の部屋からはみえませんでしたが、外の噴水のところに出て、写真を撮ることができました。 全体的には友人たちに紹介したいホテルです。 ありがとうございました。

The hotel is expensive but I don’t think it’s worth it. The restaurants closed early the day we arrived and it’s inconvenient to go anywhere.
