I loved this beautiful property and the convenient location right in the heart of everything. The breakfast was good in a beautiful, spacious location, with eggs, meat, cheeses, and bakery items. Our room was beautiful but was around a lot of corners and up and down stairs; the elevator did not go to our floor. We took the elevator and then had to walk down or up stairs to get to our floor. There was no view, and there was a slight musty smell in the room—only slight, but present. We did not ask to move rooms, so that is on us. Water was provided free each day, and there was a refrigerator. The bed and pillows were comfy after a long day of touring and walking around. The staff were courteous and helpful. There was a laundromat around the corner from the hotel, which was convenient for us since we were on a three week sojourn using carryon luggage. We were able to put laundry in the washer and then walk around the area shopping, eating gelato, or sitting by Santa Croce church. I found my favorite pottery lady only 4 doors down from the laundromat, which was fabulous. I definitely would stay there again.
PS. There’s a nice leather shop, Lorenzo’s, across the street towards Piazza Della Signoria.
