"The staff was very helpful and responsive. Room was clean and nice. Didn’t love the barky dog next door; I feel like there should be a separate area for dog rooms and/or someone checking for barking. "I travel to Portland frequently for work and have been systematically trying hotels in downtown Portland. Hotel Heathman is my favorite so far! The building is beautiful & convenient to the office I visit as well as numerous restaurants & shops. My room was comfortable & clean. I was disappointed that I didn’t receive daily housekeeping though— I would expect that from a hotel of this caliber. I typically keep my room neat, & I’m fine using towels for multiple days, but I used the French press for coffee & was unsure how to dispose of the grounds for use the next day. Plus, I ordered room service for breakfast one morning & no one ever picked up the tray. These issues are not deal breakers weighed in the balance of my overall good experience, though. I will stay there again."
