The Roost is a VERY cool update on a classic Detroit property. The rooms have character with a capital C, and aren't your standard hotel space. From the moment you enter the lobby, you realize this is something quite different. Once there, you're in the heart of Detroit, with easy walking to tons of restaurants and the downtown, including Woodward, concert venues, and Comerica Park. Excellent. We'll be back.

Stayed here one night but would definitely go back. The room was like an apartment and super modern and comfortable. The place was immaculately clean and the staff were super helpful. The workout room is one of the best I've seen - great view and all the equipment you could ask for. My partner and I brought our bikes and it wasn't a problem. We enjoyed riding around downtown. - The valet was great too.

This was an excellent choice for my husband’s birthday as we were in town to see the Rangers … what a vibe!! From the moment you walk in you’re taken by the grandeur of the building which was restored to such amazing results. The interiors throughout the entire property are so aesthetically pleasing. It was a bonus being able to walk to mainly everything we did. Service was great as well. Will def be returning to the city and staying here when we do!

Seriously excellent in every way! Friendly staff and clean rooms. The building housing this hotel is stunning, particularly the lobby. This will be our go to next time we are in Detroit! By the way, Detroit absolutely surprised us, and the last five years alone, the city has taken gigantic steps forward! We will be choosing Detroit in the future over Chicago.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay. It was in a good location and witho walking distance of Comerica Park and Ford Field. The room had everything you would need and was very modern. I felt that that property was a much better value than other hotels, that give you less, but charge you more. Hotel has several dining options and bars as well. I would highly recommend the property, especially if you were staying for more than a night. Our studio had a dishwasher, stove, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker, coffee grinder, a washer, and a dryer. I will definitely be returning next time I’m staying in downtown Detroit.

We were in town for the NCAA tournament. The Roost was perfect for our long weekend! We walked to LCA and we felt very safe at all times. Staff was very accommodating and even helped us find a church to worship Easter Sunday. Our unit was clean and had everything we needed. The gym was fantastic as well!! A great overall experience!

The hotel is perfectly located in the center of downtown in a gorgerons historical building with lots of dining options around. The hotel staffs are friendly and knowledge. They provided some amazing dining and entertainment options: Few areas can be improved: 1. shower water could be a bit warmer. 2. Additional towel racks and hooks could be added for bath towels and hand towels by the sink 3. Additional mirrors could be added. A full length mirror and a makeup mirror by the sink.
