"This hotel is fine for the price. There isn't much to do in Alleppey outside of the houseboat tours, so choice of location wasn't really an issue. The hotel was clean and staff were helpful. The rooms were very small, but we were only there for one night, so it wasn't a major inconvenience. My only real complaint was the WiFi, which was terrible and never worked in the room. "More important than any ups or downs of staying at this hotel is the fact that the hotel doesn't exist! OYO has a deal with a hotel called the Arcadia, where I guess they resell a certain number of rooms, but when you book here you're actually looking for The Arcadia. This was a huge pain when we arrived since no one knew anything about an OYO "near Iron Bridge." We were lucky to have a patient driver who'd already taken us a long way, and lucky that we had a sim card to call OYO, although it...

But remember that you are in a resort- best to go out and do some local shopping to get a real feel for the area.
