The property itself was ok. Good location. However on a one way narrow street and hard to valet. Could not valet until we checked in so my boyfriend had to drive my car around until I checked in. it was all confusing and crowded. No signs. Check in was lukewarm in friendliness. The real problem was getting back to the room at about 2am. Apparently there is a club there and while we were on the 11th floor the walls were rattling, it was deafening until 3am or so. Not relaxing at all. So tired the next day. The lobby at 2am was a frat house party vibe with wine spilled everywhere. The next day we checked out (again lukewarm friendliness at the desk) and the total was $400. We went to the valet tender, and it took OVER 2 HOURS to get the car. Apparently someone had quit and it was chaos, a mob of upset patrons trying to get their car. $400 could be better spent elsewhere? But it got the job done.

So, let's start off with the good! A beautiful, chic hotel in a great neighborhood! But, and here are a few of the issues that are evident to us! When a guest asks the Concierge a question, they should not be dismissed! Our multiple interactions with staff incl.: The loud, broken sounding elevator, Where is a "good" breakfast restaurant?, Can we move our room to avoid the "elevator noise", Where can I catch the train/bus to Navy Pier?, Can we go up to the rooftop patio bar?, Can I get a reservation at the restaurant on the patio?, Where is a good place to eat after our long and frustrating travel day?. Almost all of these interactions were with the Concierge behind the front desk. Almost all of these interactions were answered with this phrase: "You can just Google it!" or "Did you use Google Maps", or worst of all, "No, there is an event going on", or "Sorry, it's closed!". When a patron spends upwards of $300/night at a "fine" Chicago hotel, should we expect better service and caring answers from the staff? Yes! Yes we should! The staff member that deserves praise is the maid for the 16th floor. She was polite and efficient! Bravo Miss! As to the multiple staff behind the front desk: Makayla and Lauren, please listen to your customers questions and address their concerns. We are not all from Chicago and look to you for assistance. And to Hugo, our concierge on Saturday evening, Thank You!

I recently stayed at this establishment. I called the day after I left when I saw i was charged $295 dollars for an itemized receipt. The person who answered the phone was extremely rude and said he sent it already but it has been a couple of days and I have yet to receive anything. That being said I stayed from May 24th-May 27th and my experience was far from the best. Upon walking in a younger lady checked me in and made it seem like I was the biggest inconvenience of the day. She was rude and gave no information on hours of any of the amenities or any information on wifi. I got passed it and went up to my room. The room was not what i expected, there was no lock on the bathroom door, a huge stain on the bed headboard, the lighting did not work properly and we were right next to a window with a view of a very underwhelming bar that played music until very late at night. We were not restocked on anything during our days there and had to call down to the rude receptionist to receive more toiletries. We paid a hefty amount of money for valet just for them to have us wait 30 minutes to get the car and they had misplaced our key the final day resulting in a panic. Overall this has been a mediocre experience at best. I’ve had better experiences at the Hilton Garden Inn or any other hotel for that matter. They didn’t charge me an obscure “urban fee” allegedly used for “upkeep” and keeping the hotel “chic” in that case my lighting should at least work.

Excellent stay! The room was spacious and well-appointed. The beds were comfortable. Considering the hotel is located in a busy area, I was surprised that we didn’t hear any noise at night. Overall it was a very comfortable stay.

Great location. Nice rooms. Like the adjoining rooftop bar Unfortunately, our room was located next to the elevator mechanical room, and we could hear the elevator running up and down. It was quite noisy, except in the middle of the night when the elevator was not being used.
