I didn't like the fact that they called me 10 times while i was the phone with my mother. I didnt like the fact of me arriving there they had a attitude with me. I didn't get the room that i oaid for either. Also returning the tv remote and the key to the room. They manager knocked on the door asking if i was staying or not and if i wasnt hand over the remote and the room key. I paid for 1 king size bed and i was given 2 queen beds when i surely didnt pay for that.

The motel and grounds were good, and my room was nice as well. This is a very affordable and nice option while staying in Carlsbad. I don't think you can beat the price and I didn't have any bad experience as others have identified in reviews.

Good place run by good people. It may have a Tom Waits vibe, but that's a bonus. Main reasons I keep returning: price, two blocks from beach, walking around Carlsbad.

This is by far my favorite hotel to stay at, the staff here including the husband and wife are very very awesome and down to earth they'll make you laugh they'll help you the rooms are always clean there's never a time I come in that they don't give me a good deal and greet me by name this is a great place don't let it fool you

I couldn't take a shower after checking in, the ac heater didn't work, my evening plans were ruined, the next morning I had to awaken the staff regarding the shower, they told me to waoit 20 min , I waited an Hour still no hot water, just tepid.. i overpaid as well the charges went up from 62 to 115.Inot happy with the attitude from the male staff.. instead of accommodating me he argued why I didn't shower the night before, I fell asleep waiting for the water heater to kick on.

Bed was pretty bad and the walls are extremely thin. I could hear all the traffic right outside my door and the other rooms tv. Area isn’t too bad and is close to a lot of nice places.

I usually read reviews 1st, this time I didn't related to we urgently needed a hotel, didn't take the time. The motel was ok for the cost, but right next to train tracks. I was exhausted, before I passed out, I heard minimum 4 trains passing by. Also, I have never been handed 2 remote controls at check-in, and asked for the remotes to be returned at check out.

Made a mistake on the reservation dates. Attempted to change the dates but the motel stated that it was full for 4 different weeks. I was able to make a reserveration through Expedia for those dates after the motel lied about being full.

Walls and floors were in need of a cleaning. No-smoking rooms and have to stay away from the building to smoke but still have burn holes on both the bed spread 's. Shower looks great ,but would be nice if there was a little more than a few minutes of hot water.ive never stayed somewhere with little to no water pressure.

You left the room with your disgusting stuffs as well your belongings on check out time and came back 2PM to get it which caused too many labor issues for house keepers so we charge for late check out but for no reason you seems non cooperative very irresponsible guest.

You can hear the squeaky mattress springs and will find hairs on sheets and towels. Not the best obviously but can’t complain for the price just to spend the night.
