"We'd planned on riding the Erie Canalway from Rome, NY that day. But the weather was absolutely horrible. We changed plans and drove to the Econolodge to start from there the following day. Despite the early arrival they had a room for us and went out of their way to accommodate our bikes and gear. We were warm, dry, found dining and groceries withjn walking distance, and slept well."

"At first glance the rooms look a little run down BUT because the walls are cement block (nicely painted, not bare) this place is quiet! I've never heard anything from adjacent rooms or even the highway nearby. Also a wonderful and safe walking trail just a few hundred yards from the motel, so a great place to stop with my dog who needs lots of exercise. The toilets flush really well, too, no plugging up. And it's family run. I'm happy to forgo something fancier to support a family run business."
