"It’s a hundred year old hotel that is slowly dying. It’s in constant repair. The draw is the history and the beautiful opera house. Marta Becket created wonderful murals thru out the hotel and the whole opera house. A piece of history that needs to be kept."

Oct 2, 2019There isn't a lot to offer in Amargosa Valley. It was not far from Death Valley NP and other than staying in the park (which was expensive) there isn't much else to choose from. Ash Meadows Natl Wildlife Refuge was very nice & right in Amargosa.

May 17, 2019Not much around. You either go there to gamble in the casino, or for nearby work. Or, a place to stay after visiting Death Valley.
