"Pet friendly hotel that had big rooms. Breakfast was great. I stayed for 6 nights and felt it was a good place to stay until I interacted with their staff. They are not rude but use the excuse that they are ‘new’ so that their staff may make mistakes. After cleaning the room, I noticed the 2nd room key was missing. I had left it in the wall on purpose. When I asked them to bring it back, the employee used the key to open the door without knocking first! Not thinking twice if there were anyone...

Didn’t help that the public holiday period meant that bus services were infrequent. But Uber/Taxis solved that. "

"The rooms are spacious and clean. Love the bathroom most! It's big, clean and offers integrated hygiene air exchange system, toilet seat warmer etc. However, the hotel may want to consider offering paid early check-in option and a safer luggage storage area. Wanted to pay for early check-in at noon but was not allowed. Was told to leave our luggage at the back staircase area with no security or recording by the staff. Anyone can just open and take the luggage."

If u take Ubus from taipei airport, it just takes 2 hours to reach and 8-10min walk from drop off to hotel (ask bus counter for exact drop off stop). Most importantly, there’s a Kuo Kuang bus terminal 1min walk from hotel where u can take the bus to taipei (cheaper and more convenient than HSR), and also a bus shop just next to hotel to take bus to Feng Chia. For this price and location in taichung, Palmer is the best u can find!"

"Last minute booking, I was in the train when I use the app to book, I made a mistake, booked a male’s room, the staff fixed for me, I believe I got the best price in town $11 USD including the breakfast, is good location for me to take a bus to the airport next morning, Bus No.302 less $1 USD, Near by night market and train Station have a lot of fun even I just stay half day !"
