Stony Creek Lodge
3.0 star property
6.8 out of 10, (266)
"We enjoyed the main cook Tod personality. He made our stay memorable. I have a medicine that needs to be refrigerated and I had to ask for ice instead of an ice maker that I can get to right away. Refrigerator would have been better in the room. Breakfast starts at 8am which is too late to start enjoying Sequoia National Park. Dinner ends at 7pm and 6:30pm on Sunday which is early when you’re still outdoors exploring the park."

"The place is quiet. I love that the place is only 30 mins away from Kings Canyon. There is also a Dollar General store across so you can always drive back and forth for some necessities. Pet friendly, with very minimal fee. Bed was comfy, room was well kept with quaint designs, makes you feel at home. It will be nice to have more coffee selections, the coffee had in our room was blah. Overall it was an awesome stay!"

"Beautiful view of the lake. Daily walks during spring season was perfect. Flowers bursting everywhere Very quiet and remote. Extremely spacious. Perfect for multi-families. Internet works great only inside cabin. Joseph was very friendly and very helpful for any questions or concerns. Loved the woodstove fireplace. It was fun to use and kept us warm. "

"Cabin had comfortable beds and thankfully plenty of fans. Unfortunately ran out of toilet paper first night. Host voicemail not set up and no instructions for Wi-Fi password or TV dish. Friendly cats on the front porch. Keep in mind front door could lock behind you. Nearest grocery is 45 min at a Valero gas station. Excellent food at Pinehurst Lodge bar and grill on the way to/from Sequoia. Minor issues aside we enjoyed our stay at this peaceful cabin."

"Suitable value for money as a gateway into Sequoia NP. Older buildings. Quite dated but everything was ok. Other than the shower that had fairly low pressure. "

"We squeezed a trip up to the national parks during a trip to see family in LA, so we only had two nights. We arrived and immediately wished we had more time! The cabin, the creek behind it, the trails adjacent — everything was twice as beautiful as we imagined. The owners are thoughtful and gracious. We truly appreciated this little bonus gem."

"It was a nice quiet stay, the owners live in the property, but they stay in their house, they didn't bother us. The property was clean and our kids had fun, they had board games, and toy provided, and a trampoline outside that our kids were allowed to used"

"The outside of the house was cute but the inside was a bit out of date and some things were falling apart. There was also no hot water so doing dishes and showering was not that pleasant. When we went to leave the first day, the door handle came off and I had to pop it back on. It was an okay stay, I get the pride is high because it’s in Sequoia but not worth the price in my opinion. "This cabin is so close to being amazing. It's a great location for getting into Sequoia National Park and is secluded enough that you can set up some chairs and enjoy some quiet stargazing. The cabin itself was clean and had everything we needed. The only problem was the bathroom was falling apart to the point that we avoided using it altogether. If the bathroom door hinges were fixed and the walls made more permanent this would be a perfect place to stay"
