Its might be the only place you can find in Whittier so be nice to it :) The restaurant has a great view and the food was good as well. Too bad the oysters were sold out. I like the salmon burger! Generally it was a pleasant stay.

As you know from my previous review, The Inn at Whittier was closed when we arrived. No other acceptable accommodations in town. We were literally stranded on the street corner in the pouring rain! I expect a full refund! ROOM #1 $543, ROOM #2 $462. florencepatrick@hotmail.com

The front desk staff were so helpful in getting us another room for an additional night. The restaurant right in the hotel was excellent...food, service, view. Very nice place.

Good location to cruise dock, nice view. Window had cold air coming in around it. Took long time to heat the room. No fridge microwave.

Cute hotel with excellent views. The dining area is beautiful. The bed is comfortable, but a bit soft. Love the fan in the room. The train was loud until about 11:00. The staff was friendly. This is the best option in town!!!

The staff was very accommodating of my spouse’s allergy to certain fabric dyes in the sheets and brought us a new set that did not have them. Our room got mixed up between Expedia and the inn somewhere along the way but they found us a space and were gracious in accommodating us. Whittier Inn is the only place around in this area. The restaurant was very good. We enjoyed our dinner there on both nights .

Beautiful location. Wish you could open the windows in the room to enjoy the fresh air and smells of Prince William Sound. Also, rooms need a refrigerator and microwave. Would also be nice if the room decor was more Alaskan. We had extremely comfortable beds and pillows and the room size was so nice. Will stay here again.

When you visit Whittier, Ak you expect rain and we got it. It made for a gray and chilly day with the wind piling up breaking waves on the the shore. But it also made for a wonderful day (and evening) to just sit and relax in this wonderfully cozy inn. Combined with a nice dinner in the restaurant downstairs as we watched the ships coming in to harbor, it was one of the most restful and memorable stays of our trip.

The room is spacious with a desk and swivel chair, chest of drawers, two night stands, a table at the end of the bed for luggage and a stuffed chair with a footrest. The bed is king size with a white comforter. But what is the coolest thing is I’m sitting at the desk with a view of the harbor and mountains! You can see some boats come and go. They have a hair dryer but no shelf in the shower to put your shampoo and soap on. The room has a coffeemaker but no fridge or microwave. Still, I think the inn was spacious and luxurious.

The exterior of the Inn and the location are wonderful. The restaurant was also convenient and good. The room itself was bland, no pictures, no decor to speak of, and one of the 2 windows facing the bay had clouding in between panes preventing a clear view. The room was clean. But, given Whittier has few places to stay in, this Inn suffices.
