Gorgeous Hotel with extremely long hall
I was here to accompany my granddaughter on her tour of the OSU campus. On my reservation, I requested a room close to the elevator because of mobility issues, and we would given room 307, which is amost the farthest room from the elevator! Never-the-less, we had a great stay. The hotel connects to the Student Union building which is a definite plus. The complimentary buffet breakfast in the Ranchers Room was first-class. The front desk people were extremely gracious and helpful, giving me maps of the campus and information on how to get the parking ticket validated. On the grades, I marked "Comfort" down a little because all of the bed pillows (5 to a bed) are enormous and I would like at least one that is flatter. But overall, the Atherton is first-class, and you cannot beat the location.

OSU visit with Grandkids.
It was a wonderful place to stay. Very comfortable beds & pillows. Only thing I noticed was wallpaper in toilet room was coming loose and can easily be glued down again. That was in room 307 I believe. Thanks for making a very pleasant stay. We did not have time to eat there but hear it’s very good.

This is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff are students who are learning hospitality business. The beds were super comfy and the breakfast was good. We will only ever stay here when visiting Stillwater. Right across from McKnight Center if you come for a show.

A hidden gem! I’m surprised by what I didn’t find at The Atherton: lack of attention to detail and lack of character. From the opening the door for you to the rubber duck in the shower, every step of our stay was a delightful surprise. The hotel’s rich wooden tones follow throughout the different dining and social spaces. Their bar drinks are outstanding; probably the best Cosmopolitan I’ve had in years. And while we’re at it, do not miss the complimentary breakfast. This place makes you feel pampered, rich, cared for and welcomed. My only regret is having stayed only 1 day. Whenever you go to Stillwater for business or fun, try to stay here first. The convenience, walk ability to anywhere on campus and the pampered attention, makes it worth it. You will thank me later. Have fun!
