Great location. Front desk only open from 8am to 11pm. Outside of those hours, no way to check in. Rooms are clean.

Okay for convenience
Clean but very small room and the tiniest bathroom. I had the single room since solo traveler. Staff were nice though. Continental breakfast was just basic toast, egg, jam, cereals and milk. Hotel is located on an uphill street so it was hard to get to with bags. Around 8 minutes walk for an older adult (not 5 mins as they say), from the Myeongdong Bus station, which you can catch from and to Incheon airport. Myeongdong street (with the night market) and other shops are close by. Just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

This is an excellent value in a great location. The night market is just around the corner, the cathedral is behind the hotel, and the best coffee shop on earth is a short walk away. If you like walking, you can get to the Seoul Tower in less than 30 minutes, upscale shopping, awesome open markets, and the subway are all nearby, and the downtown district is a lovely stroll down the creek-walk. The staff are wonderful, friendly, and helpful, and the rooms are well equipped (if a little crowded).

This is a great place to stay for first timers in South Korea. Hotel is really centrally located and right next to the shopping center in Myeongdong. You're also close to all of the bus stations and subways so getting around Seoul was super convenient. Once again location was perfect so I could drop in during the day to take a break before going back out. As one would expect with the price, room is very simple and makes good use of the space. Heads up that room cleaning is not automatic, you'll need to request it from the front desk which is fine. Breakfast is very simple, just bread, fruit, juice and coffee. This was fine for me. Overall I would recommend staying here, and plan on it again if I come back to Korea.

There is no daily housekeeping. Nobody change the bed skirt and no new towels provided. You have to ask in order to get a towel replacement. The bathroom is so small. There is no bathtub. The driver is not allowed to park outside the hotel to pick up guests. The hotel only gives you one key even though you have three people. You need to pay $20,000 wons in order to get one extra key. From my point of view, this is not even a hotel but an air b&b only.

This hotel was fine for our family. We are big, noisy, obnoxious, American family and people complained to the hotel because they could hear our toddler crying below us early in the morning when our body clocks hadn’t changed after our flight yet. But the location was super convenient and the room was clean. It would be nice if they were on a regular cleaning schedule instead of waiting to be asked.

Cute hotel went above and beyond! Great location and view from the top floor family suite. Provided shampoo/conditioner and body wash, plus light breakfast was a huge perk for us! Highly recommend.

Great location, easy to navigate with public transportation. The staff was friendly and we were able to communicate (English). Breakfast was okay (soft bread, sweet cereal, coffee, juice) -- it would have been nice to have some fresh fruit or hard boiled eggs. Overall the best part is the LOCATION!!! I would definitely stay here again!

Room is too small and ventilation is poor so smelly. It is located on slight hill so you have to push your bags to get there. Stairs to breakfast is so steep and continental breakfast is just so simple and minimal. I will not select this hotel for future.

Location is good. The room was clean and cozy. We had a free breakfast, but it's just cereals and breads so we didn't really eat there. Only issue we had was that they wouldn't give you new towels if you request for them unless it falls on the day they do the cleaning service. And if you missed the scheduled days, they won't get your bed linens changed. Double check on how they count the days (they considered your Day 1 on the day you checked in).

We stayed at Ehwa Hotel for 6 nights very accessible. The location of this hotel is about 10minutes walk from the subway station, less than 5mins. walk from bus station, it's also near Myeondong Cathedral Church, shopping area and Myeondong street food market. It's about 20-25minutes walk going to Naemdaemum market. The size of our room is good and clean. Bed and pillows are comfortable. Complimentary breakfast is okay they offer bread, noodles, ham, cheese, cereal, coffee & tea. The staff are helpful and accommodating. We will definitely come back. Thank you and we really enjoyed our stay in your lovely place.

It's been a month after my visit, I missed Ehwa a lot. I had excellent time during my stay (5 nights in Seollal, Korean Lunar New Year). Ehwa staff are extremely helpful and accomodating. Learnt that I took midnight flight and landed with empty stomach, I was invited to have a warm breakfast even before check-in. Knew that I am a Catholic, a room with view of Meyongdong Cathedral was arranged. The room is warm, comfortable and new. Yes, to some people, the shower room is small but it is acceptable to me because it is very clean and well ventilated. This single room is the best when compared its price and quality to other hostels I visited in Europe and the States. The location is extremely good. In Myeongdong, between two subway lines and near to a bus station (actually i google and took bus more often) but it's not noise at night. Ehaw is right next to Meyongdong Cathedral in 3 mins walk. Convenient for me to attend the English Mass at 9 am on Sunday. If you planned to take taxi, you may tell the driver to get off at Meyongdong Catheral and walk up the slope if the driver don't know where Ehaw is. I took the airport express train and got on taxi at Seoul station, arrived the Catheral in 15 minutes. Simple breakfast offered. I like ham and cheese sandwich the most but also tried cup noodles in one cold morning. Like many hostels, please clean you dishes and keep clean. If you need to empty the rubbish bin, tell staff in the morning. I recommend Ehwa for solo travellers.

Ehwa in Myeongdong
It is abt less than 10 mins away from Euljiro 3 (sam)-ga station Exit 12 (btw there are escalators) and less than 5 mins from the myeongdong cathedral and shopping area. It is quiet and comfortable. There are water dispensers so U dont have to think about getting your own bottled water. The amenities are basic but do remember to bring your own toothbrush & toothpaste. Great for solo traveller

The staff was amazing, always took time to help or just to have conversation. Highly recommend! Breakfast was just ok (many sugary items, white bread, but also had cup ramen!), but I gave the hotel 5 stars overall anyway, because, breakfast is kind of an extra. We would grab coffee from the hotel breakfast and get breads from the nearby Le Pain.bakery.

Simple hotel with reasonable pricing.
It's a very simple and straight forward hotel with minimum amenities. This hotel knows what they are doing for that affordable and reasonable pricing.

Great choice
Really nice hotel. Some of the staff spoke English, which is very useful. The helped me book the DMZ tour with no problems. Nice room and bed. No problems

Ehwa in Myeongdong is worth staying at
I enjoyed my stay at the Ehwa hotel in Myeongdong. The staff are professional and have very good personal skills. The room was on the small size, but was very clean and had all amenities I needed. The welcome basket of snacks was a lovely touch. The hotel has a nice welcoming feel. The only aspect requiring some improvement is the continental breakfast; it was the same each day and needs variety.
