We do Authorize a credit card/ debit card at check in and it should be present along with the matching name of reservation and ID, since this is a authorization we can switch the credit/debit card at checkout. Regardless, this should have been asked upon check in/ check out, we are sorry that this has happened. The breakfast coupons should have been giving one per person at check in for this reason, if guest need to come down separately or if someone woke up first before them.
