Only issue. On the night of the 12th the front door was closed. I got back to the hotel at 00:15. I pressed the buzzer for nearly 45 minutes with no answer. I even went to the grand to ask if they had a contact number, which they didn't. I was just about to find an alternative hotel when another guest opened the door for a cigarette. I searched around the ground floor, no staff anywhere. I went behind the counter and got my own key. As I was walking up the stairs the night staff appeared. I am sure you can verify these events on your security cameras.

This hotel is located in Scarborough town centre. The area around the property looks excellent. Downstairs looked immaculate. They do have a lift. In the restaurant on 15/6 I came down for breakfast all three coffee machines were switched off, they had not been switched on before guests come down for breakfast at 07.00 am. My room was spacious but basic. The bath could have had a clean. There was spare pillows in the wardrobe. Need to invest in some new furniture. Skirting boards needed repainting

Myself, my partner and my son stayed at the hotel on Saturday we absolutely loved it! When we first walked in we was like wow! Our breakfast was really good my partner said it was amazing. We can eat that again 😋 the staff was very good supportive Very helpful and we are very grateful we are looking forward to booking this hotel again very soon for longer stays want to wish you all the best and thank you for an amazing stay

This hotel is run down and dirty. The bed didn’t have a proper mattress, it was hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom was dirty. Our ceiling was leaking, this clearly wasn’t a new issue, you could see where they had painted over mould. Room was cold as the radiator didn’t heat up properly. Place is scruffy, smelly and over priced.

The location of the hotel is in a perfect position and quite central in the South Bay, the exterior of the hotel is reasonable but could to with a clean especially the fizzy drink can and bottle stuck outside the window beyond reach. The breakfast we tried on day was awful and genuinely not worth £12.00 a head, the food is not freshly cooked to order (black pudding was like chewing rubber) scrambled eggs are out of a packet and all the food was only just warm. The condition of the rooms were average of a building of that age but do need attention, our executive room had a door handle hanging on for its life and signs of damp around the window area. Wallpaper noticed in multiple areas peeling away. I’ve stayed in worse places but expected much better.

Overall just a very basic hotel. Me and my patner got stuck in the lift for over 1 hour with are meal to take to the room and when i asked the manger about compensation he said they offered us it as a portion of fries and garlic bread very disappointed with there customer service
