「We were 'crew' for Supreme Queen playing at the Riverfront Theatre, great place to stay. Staff great, room great....will stay there again」

「Set in beautiful grounds with friendly and welcoming staff. Great breakfast and facilities. Room was well appointed but was a bit dark and dated. The window’s double glazing had blown. 」

「Lovely property and location. Part of the fun reaching this hotel is the narrow road leading up the mountain/hill.. which has little room for two way traffic. Only bad experience was the loss of water services, our room being the only one that did not come back on line requiring us to move rooms.」

「We regularly eat at The Bear, as we love the food, but this was our first time to stay. The room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. As always, the service in the restaurant was excellent and the food was delicious. Our waiter, Hi-Man was most attentive. 」

「La collocazione è perfetta, con una passeggiata in un verso si arriva in centro, nel verso opposto al Newport Transporter Bridge. La struttura è nuova, pulita, sicura. Mi è stato gentilmente concesso il check in anticipato, cosa che non tutti fanno! L'unico aspetto che rivedrei sono le pulizie: bisognerebbe che le stanze venissero rifatte, se non proprio quotidianamente almeno ogni 2 GG...per brevi soggiorni ok, per quelli un po' più lunghi inizia ad essere un disagio! Per il resto perfetto!」

「Very friendly and helpful staff; the rooms are very comfortable and quiet. There's a nice bar and restaurant for evening meals (fish and chips is quite good). Breakfast is continental, but there is a nice variety of cereals and toast and other items. The internet was quite good, by British standards.」
