Eine vergleichsweise naturbelassenes Gelände in der weniger touristischen Ecke der Insel. Von hier kommt man gut überall hin sofern man sich auf die Verkehrsmittel Roller und Taxi einlässt. Sehr ruhiger Strand und nettes Personal, auf Anfrage wird einem alles gebucht und/oder Infos zu Aktivitäten und Co. gegeben. An sich ist die Unterkunft und die Ausstattung etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber dafür ist man auch Näher dran als in den großen Resorts die kaum was mit Vietnam zu tun haben.

Fina rum men missvisande att det är havsutsikt när det är utsikt över floden när vi dessutom betalde mer för det rummet än de med utsikt över floden. Ganska dålig service. Helt ok mat. Fin strand och fin pool, men strandbaren verkar vara nedlagd, skötseln av floden och vissa delar av området ganska dålig. Ligger fint på stranden men hotellt ligger långt från andra restauranger och shopping så man blir beroende av moped alternativt taxi.

L'hôtel est assez excentré l'utilisation de taxi ou de scooter et obligatoire si l'on veut bouger un peu. Le cadre est très agréable, le calme et la sérénité se font sentir dès notre arrivée. Seuls bémols, nous sommes obligés d'aller à la pêche aux informations, le personnel n'est pas des plus réactifs. Il n'y a egalement pas assez de transat pour tous les voyageurs. Concernant le restaurant, nous n'avons pas été très satisfait rapport qualité/prix. Si vous rechercher du farniente au bord de la mer, alors vous passerais un séjour agréable.

Omgivelserne var absolut ikke svarende til billederne. Billetterne giver et meget mere positivt og charmerende indtryk, hvilket viste sig ikke at være tilfældet i virkeligheden. Stedet er meget øde, med ingen mulighed for alternative spisesteder i gå afstand. Vi fik en ringe modtagelse. Blev ikke hentet i lufthavnen trods oplysninger om ankomst tid. Personalet I restauranten taler virkelig dårlig engelsk. Der er desværre heller ikke noget positivt at sige om maden; virkelig kedelig og smagsløs. Morgen buffeten var kedelig og trods adskillige personaler i restauranten var de fleste fade tomme. Værelserne var til gengæld rigtig fine; store og rene med rigtig fint badeværelset. Poolen fremstår pæn og ren. Stranden var fin, men vandet ikke klart, måske pga udmundingen fra vandløb. Der var en standbar, men den var lukket. Vi rejste 3 dage tidligere end booket. Receptionisten tilstede ved vores afrejse var venlig med godt engelsk.

Nice beach getaway.
This is a good beach getaway. A bit isolated but fine if you are looking to just relax on the beach or by the pool. There is nothing else nearby within walking distance so unless you take a taxi you're stuck on the property. The restaurant serves very good Vietnamese food and has an extensive western menu as well. The restaurant staff were friendly and accomodating, especially one waiter named Duc, his English is very good.

We ver much enjoyed our stay at ChezCarole. The beach, pool, food, rooms and staff were amazing. Arrangements were made for us to tour the island on one day at a reasonable cost. We also travelled into Duong Dong for the evening market. Wonderful evening. If you want a quiet relaxing space with all the goodness mentioned, the chez Carole is the place.

Sehr schönes Ambiente und der Blick von der Rezeption auf's Meer macht auch gleich Lust auf mehr. Auf den ersten Blick ist alles sehr schick, nach ein paar Tagen fallen einem dann aber schon einige Makel auf. Vor allem der Strand. So schön wie der Sand auch ist, der ganze angeschwemmte Müll ist schwer zu übersehen (auch wenn die Mitarbeiter stets bemüht sind alles sauber zu halten) Asiatische Länder haben öfter Müllprobleme, wenn man das vorher weiß, kann man sich damit sicher abfinden.

Traditionally styled resort away from the crowds
Nicely laid out resort designed to fit sympathetically with the landscape (unlike some of the horrendous modern tower blocks popping up down the coast), with a really charming beach front, helpful staff with good English and smart rooms with traditional Vietnamese style. Starting to need a few up-dates as it's now 15 years old, for example part of our shower cubicle sliding door was missing, but this wasn't really a problem. It's still definitely upper-mid range/edging into the luxury category and good value. The place is calm and we slept well in our nice shady garden view room with a small private patio, and food and drink in the restaurant was good and wasn't too badly priced. Be aware that it is quite isolated with no other tourist orientated bars or restaurants nearby, so as we weren't brave enough to chance the local food on offer within walking distance we relied mostly on the in house restaurant. The nearest upscale restaurant is 15 mins in a taxi or 25-30 mins (costing 200,000 dong/$8) gets you to Duong Dong town centre/night market - which is worth the trip at least once. Onsite massage wasn't the greatest either, I chose the Thai style one known to be hard, but I've had them before and have never left limping because the masseur pressed too hard on a tendon rather than muscle! Overall though we had a lovely time and found it a great place to relax and get away from it all.

Beautiful surroundings, services could be improved
Beautiful beach. No service on beach and few chairs. Little / no vegetarian options. Rooms were nice but beds were quite hard. Explanation on surroundings, potential tours could be improved from the reception staff.

Zweimal verlängert, weil es uns so gut gefällt.
Total abseits gelegen; man braucht ein Moped oder Taxi, um "nach draußen" zu kommen. Das Resort selbst ist dafür ein kleines Paradies. Manche Dinge sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber zumeist in Ordnung. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Hervorheben möchte ich Mr. Nam von der Rezeption und der Oberkellner im Restaurant. Dort isst man auch recht gut und relativ preiswert. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist für SE-Asien sehr gut. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und bleiben daher noch einige Tage länger. Jetzt haben wir auch noch ein super upgrade bekommen - toller Bungalow direkt am Meer - traumhaft.

När vi kom dit och skulle checka in, var personal i receptionen ( ung kille). Väldigt otrevlig och inte välkomnande, hånfull och väldigt ohjälpsam. Vi höll ut till nästa dag då vi bestämde oss att flytta, skulle ha varit där i 7 nätter. Läget är mitt ute i ingenstans. När vi skulle checka ut var en mycket trevlig kvinnlig personal i receptionen.hon erbjöd oss att flytta till Chez Carole center, vilket vi Tackade ja till.v Vill rekommendera detta boende.

Själva Resort området va fint, grönt och ligger precis vid havet är du i poolen kan du se ut över havet. Söker du en lugn plats för att bara vara passar det dej. Denna resort ligger nämligen mitt ute i ingenstans. Det finns inget att göra eller se i närområdet. Närmaste supermarket (en mkt liten) ligger minst 2.5 km bort, inga restauranger i närheten förutom hotellets egna och den var dyr. Du behöver ha en vespa vart du än ska ta dej. Restaurangerna ligger vid nattmarknaden och det tar ca 20 min med taxi att ta sig dit. Gästvänligheten och servicen var under all kritik främst av en kille i receptionen. Han var otrevlig och inte alls servicinriktad. Vi bodde här en natt sedan valde vi att flytta (skulle bo en vecka)

Två stjärnigt boende
Katastrof, rummen fina och bekväma men i övrigt oerhört dåligt skick och en service som har enorm förbättringspotential, ville mest bara härifrån. Perosnalen i receptionen stort plus och även till Spa avdelningen o övrigt stor besvikelse. Ligger långt ifrån det mesta och man behöver ta sig härifrån, strandpromenaden är full i skräp och även havet är skräpigt med grumligt vatten. De städar stranden flera gånger per dag men endast på själva resortens strand. Flode är.skräpig med olja på ytan och döda fiskar. Yoga som utlovades fanns inte. Volleybollnätet var i trasor. Beachbaren var aldrig öppen och det var för lite solstolar för antalet gäster och trasiga dynor. Maten hyffsad och peronalen glada och trevliga, men fanns mer att önska av servicenivå i restaurangen. Mycket väntan och det går inte att köpa ett glas vin, endast flaskor! Frukosten ok förutom att juicen är odrickbar, trots tillgången till frukt serveras sockerlag. Summa summarum, man längtar mest härifrån och det är definitivt inte ett 4-stjärnigt boende på sin höjd 2. Vill ni ha en trevlig vistelse på Phu Quoc välj annat boende, det här är dyrt i förhållande till vad man får. Rekomenderar Mango Bay för att njuta av semestern.

Prisvärd Resort om jag gärna besöker igen
Mycket trevlig resort som har ngr år på nacken men är mycket prisvärd och välhållen. Frukosten som ingår är toppen med ett utbud av allt man kan önska sig, priserna på resturangen är humana och menyn till lunch och middag har över 100 olika rätter, andra resturang alternativ kräver taxi förutom resorten bredvid som är lite lyxigare men opersonlig, tar 15min att gå dit, där finns 3 resturanger men priserna är 30% dyrare. Stranden städas dagligen och är helt ok. Stället kan varmt rekommenderas, ligger lite avsides men moped uthyrningen för 70kr/dag gör att det går lätt att göra egna upptäcktsfärder från resorten till resten av ön, transfern från flygplatsen till resorten och tillbaka funkade perfekt. Kan varmt rekommendera den till alla som funderar på boende på Phu Quoc. Som på alla resorter är engelskan lite si och så. En av de anställda i resturangen med titteln ”gäst ansvarig” var hyfsad på franska/engelska/tyska och gjorde att missförstånd eliminerades. Kommer gärna tillbaka🇻🇳😘

Personnel adorable et aux petits soins. Très serviables. Cependant pour le même prix chambre deluxe vous pouvez avoir une chambre superbe chambre sur pilotis ou une chambre moyenne vue sur la rivière en 1er plan et 2ème plan vue mer ou enfin une chambre bordant une retenue d'eau stagnante avec les inconvénients qui vont avec. Petit déjeuner basique rien d'extraordinaire. Piscine avec une vue agréable sur la mer. Restaurant bon mais cher. Dans l'ensemble ça reste très correct.

A staggering escape
I stayed in Chez Carole with my wife. To say we enjoyed the vacation is to say nothing. It was excellent - the staff is very friendly and helpful, the design of the rooms and bungalows is great - you entirely feel you are away of the city rush, crowds, noise, etc; just you and nature! The beach is so close and it is very cozy. The terrace of the restaurant has a mesmerizing sea view, the food is super tasty, portions are big, and the prices are very affordable! You also have a swimming pool, spa, small gym; you could also rent a motorbike directly from the reception, so you can travel to the Duong Dong town or to the north of the island, since it's all pretty close. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday away from noise and crowds - Chez Carole is a perfect option. It's great for families with kids as well. I will definitely come back there.

Awesome staff and beautiful resort location
Customer service is something to be treasured where ever one stays, especially abroad. Chez Carole when it comes to that is like finding the lost city of Atlantis. The staff was absolutely amazing at this resort. My father decided to spend his 75th birthday here, and the staff went over and beyond out of their way to make sure our stay and celebration was fantastic, including a birthday cake. There were only a few very minor issues with plumbing due to the rainy season. However once brought to the attention of the staff, the issues were immediately taken care of. The ocean view room I stayed in was very comfortable with AC, and overhead bed netting if you wished to open the room up at night. The bathroom and shower were very clean as well. Overall, our stay at Chez Carole was an amazing experience and the staff had 95% to do with that feeling. I'd highly recommend this resort to anyone.

Sehr ruhiges Resort mit einem tollen und sauberen Strand ( wird immer gereinigt). Es gibt zwar fast nix rings herum aber die Ruhe ist sehr entspannend. Das Restaurant hat super leckeres Essen und zweimal die Woche gibt es ein Barbecue. Wir haben alles mögliche aus der Karte probiert und immer sensationel. Das Personal ist sehr nett und freundlich, wir hatten Glück da 14 Mitarbeiter von einer Schule aus den Philippinen da waren für die Saison. Hoffentlich wird dies weiter so gehandhabt da Vietnamesisches Personal nicht unbedingt das freundlichste ist und englisch fast nicht beherrscht. So perfekt gewesen. Größtes Manko ist der Spa. Das ist aktuell ein Witz. Ein Pavillon neben dem Weg von Rezeption und Zimmern zum Pool, offen mit einem Vorhang der nix verdeckt. Die Massage war die schlechteste überhaupt und Lust zum arbeiten hat da auch keiner und auch noch unfreundlich dazu. Für ein Resort so abgeschieden und zu den Preisen leider wirklich unpassend. Der Manager erklärte uns das es geändert wird mit weiteren Pavillons und neuem Personal. Für zukünftige Gäste hoffen wir dies sehr. Roller Vermietung im Haus und dann mal den Norden der Insel erkunden und zum Star Sand Beach gehen. Lohnt sich auf jedenfall. Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht ist hier richtig. Es ist sehr gepflegt und wird nun nach und nach außerhalb der Hochsaison wohl weiter renoviert. Aber es ist auch so sehr gepflegt und ordentlich. Definitiv gehen wir wieder hin beim nächsten Besuch.

We had a fabulous time at Chez Carole. The staff was amazing and the resort is gorgeous! Beautiful beach and very quiet, relaxed atmosphere. The only small drawback for us was the food options, breakfast bar is great but small menu options for lunch/dinner. But we rented scooters on site and its not far to town for other dinner options. Overall it was wonderful!!

Nous avons profité de notre séjour pour nous reposer de la route. Chez Carole est situé dans un cadre de villégiature enchanteur. Mais la plus grosse différence entre ici et ailleurs est le personnel qui fera tout en son possible pour rendre votre séjour le plus parfait possible. Un mention spéciale pour Sam à la salle dîner. L'endroit est loin de tout, mais on s'en fout car on y va d'abord pour se couper du chaos extérieur...
