I was woken up at 2 am by someone trying to open the door. The key card they used worked. Thankfully I had the safety lock on. They tried multiple times. I woke up because I heard the door hitting the safety lock over and over. The person asked me to open the door. I said no. They said it was Jacob from the front desk and I was not supposed to be in the room. He said he was going to call me on the phone and I said no, we are sleeping. He yelled through the door again that I wasn’t supposed to be in that room and he didn’t know who assigned me to this room. He then said my name out loud through the door and confirmed it was me. I said yes. Regretfully. I wish I wouldn’t have confirmed my name to this fool. We went back to sleep and the next morning I asked the front desk about it… honestly to confirm it was someone from the front desk and not some one that was up to no good. They said “oh yeah it was a system error and we were trying to figure out how many rooms we had clean”. It sounds to me like it was either over booked or someone was trying to get in to hurt me. Either way, I told the front desk I was going call the police and also call corporate and she said okay, there will be compensation. I called corporate and they took notes I guess and gave me a case number. I don’t really need compensation but I do need to make sure everyone knows that this happened here and I’m really not sure if it was just awful customer service or if there are some bad characters.

I don’t think I liked a single thing about this property. The like of dislikes is long. I will start with the neighborhood. It is not in a safe part of town. Upon arrival, there was an unhoused man outside and another in the lobby. That was just the beginning of the slew of unhoused people who would be in and out of the lobby over the course of the weekend. The area did not feel safe to walk or go anywhere outside the hotel in. Our room keys were shut off on Saturday and we were not alerted. The desk persons response was “oh yeah-that’s happening to everyone”. Would’ve been great to know before making it all the way upstairs with three small children. On check out day, our keys shut off at 10, even though check out is 11. Our three children were playing in the pool when 8-9 teenagers came in with no parent and started being rowdy. When asked to be considerate of other kids in the pool, they ignored us. Went to the desk to ask for their assistance. They stated “ugh, well this is going to be a LONG night” in an annoyed tone that we would want them to intervene so our children may remain in the pool as well. The room did was fine. Getting any extra towels or sheets for the bed was like pulling teeth. They gave us 4 towels for the 3 adults and 3 children we had in the room. All this to occurred in 48 hours and we were not at the hotel for much of it. Would absolutely NOT stay here again.

Everything was dirty. Inside and out. No paper for check out. Horrible food for breakfast. Choices and tastes! Very bad area. Floors in room wete dirty. Lobby was very old and run down. The person checking us in was talking on her phone, on speaker and wearing a T-shirt and shorts! Never will stay or recommend this hotel again! Just bad!!!!

We couldnet check in until one and a half hours after the check in time. And i was woke up by water leaking on me. Had throw up stains outside my room and hole in the wall from the door and carpet peeling off the side wall by the restroom.
