Terrible room condition and experience
It seems a hotel has been served since my grandfather’s era. Light in room is dark and stuff on bed is terrible, bed runner is greasy, yep! Greasy. Bath tub is dirty and the microwave oven is not in very good condition. Only one elevator in working although they have four. Another thing I want to highlight is that I bought bottled water from the front fest, the first time I paid for $1.25 but the second time I paid for $1.75. I don’t know how the price goes up 50 cents in one night. The only thing I am satisfying is that it nears to the greyhound station.

Gym had no water and was dirty, I had food to warm up in microwave but no utensils available. Room had no iron and no hair dryer and when we called to ask for more towels since they didn’t clean the room they said they had not enough staff to bring towel. Definitely I would not go back

Front desk staff were cordial & tried to help with no hot water complaint. Property was outdated. We were given rooms on 6th floor via telephone prior to arrival. Upon arrival the 2 reserved rooms were not available & they attempted to put us on different floors. Finally we were give rooms on the same floor. No complimentary breakfast & parking is too expensive. $15 for each night.

Check in time is 4pm. Some in our group could not check in until 4:45p. We’ve never been a hotel that does not do early check in…This hotel can’t stick to their own time of 4p for check in. Bad experience.

To start the beds were on casters and the wheels didn’t lock. So my bed literally rolled around all night. The water pressure in the shower was so bad I could barely even use it. The room itself was dated and just gross. I will never be back at the hotel again.

I was worried after reading some reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. The property wasn’t bad. You get what you pay for. This wasn’t a $300 a night property. It’s a little dated but clean and reasonable for the price.

Internet was down for a few hours. Room temperature was set and not adjustable, and cold air was coming out sometimes. Only one staff member filled the reception station. Room was not clean. Hair dryer was not working. Overall I would not book another stay at this hotel.

Very disappointed
Not sanitary, I accidentally spilled a little water on the floor, I used thier towel to clean it up and the towel was black. Floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. The sink was also dirty. My card was double charged when k checked in and it still hasn’t been reversed back into my account.

Jennifer thank you for staying with us. I'm sorry your stay did not meet your expectations. Regarding the floor not being clean I talked with housekeeping leaders this afternoon on new procedures we can implement to prevent this from happening again. As for your bill/card I only see the room charge from expedia and the 100 hold that was then charged 15 for parking.

The bathroom area light did not work at all and it was very noisy during the mornings with the cleaning crew. They really should be cognizant of guests resting especially when they have a "do not disturb" sign on the door. The coffee pot was dusty, there was blonde hair on the sheets. Overall my stay was a 3. Also, parking is $15 per day

I have made sure maintenance checks all of the lights in the room you stayed in to avoid it being a future guest's issue. I have also contacted housekeeping regarding the issues mentioned so they can prevent them from happening in the future. We do charge for parking, it is stated on our site as well as the Expedia page for our hotel.

I would appreciate hearing from you directly regarding what happened as I usually only get positive comments about the hotel staff. I have also noted your room for maintenance to check to make sure the toilet will be working properly for the next guest.

I loved everything about the property. The only thing was having to walk from the back to the parking lot to the front a couple of times because the key didn’t work on the back door. The stairs too me out but other then that the room was everything and the hotel was very clean and pretty

The location was nice but the room was not. It looked like there had been a fight in the room the drawers to the dresser would not shut, neither would the bathroom door and the lock to the room had been broken off, and re-screwed back on. I should’ve asked for a new room, but I was too tired.

Thank you for staying with us. I'm happy that most of your stay was enjoyable. While this doesn't help with your previous stay a few weeks we started to explore alternate bed frames including ones without any wheels. I hope you give us another chance the next time you're in the Norfolk area.
