Phone in room not working. Replacement phone had no labels helping you to make contact. When hitting 0 it Never was answered by anyone. It rang over 30 times.. I told reception twice. Not having ability to reach Anyone is totally unacceptable

The elevators were broken. The light was out in the hallway. The bathroom needed to be painted. The chamber maid knocked on the door at 8:00 even though I was scheduled to check out that day.

Professional staff. Very clean. Perfect location. Walking distance to many great restaurants, museums & Central Park. Away from the big tourist crowds but close enough to all the attractions. Reasonable prices. I would recommend this hotel and return again on my next trip.

The hotel heat had been turned off . The room temp. was 65 degrees and they gave us a portable heater . We were not comfortable using it.

This hotel has a great lobby and rooftop bar. The location is outstanding, walking distance to lots of great attractions. They have improved the air conditioning, which is now functional and modern. The room we got was relatively small but ok for NYC. The walls are a little thin, so we could hear noise from room next to ours. Overall, Its a good price for what we needed.

Away from the lobby and the rooftop the spaces in this hotel need a good cleaning. Hallways and rooms felt dark, dusty, and dated. There are other places to stay in the city that feel much neater and up to date. Near the bottom of my list of places I’ll stay again in the city.

Shower and washroom space was too confining..Also , the air condition unit was way too loud when it was turned on , even on auto. It made sleeping difficult. Finally there was absolutely no view of anything outside from the window.

The amenities in the room and the hotel were very disappointing. Mainly, there is no coffee shop or restaurant on the premises, no bar fridge or coffee machine in the room. For someone who likes their coffee first thing in the morning, I had to get dressed, walk a block (in the rain) to find a coffee shop before starting the day. Not doing that again!

I recently stayed at a charming hotel located right in front of Lincoln Center. The overall experience was positive, with some notable highlights and minor drawbacks. The staff were very helpful throughout the stay. Although early checkout was not available, they facilitated an earlier check-in process, allowing us to leave and return only to pick up our room key. When I requested toiletries, they promptly provided a toothbrush and shower cap, although complimentary deodorant was not available. The hotel's location is excellent, directly across from Lincoln Center, making it convenient for exploring the area. The room boasted a spectacular view, enhancing the overall experience. The rooftop area, despite being a bit overpriced, offered a convenient and excellent spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. However, the hotel is old, with only minor cosmetic renovations. Some areas, like the slightly rusty shower floor and awkward door placement near the toilet, reflect its age. Additionally, no coffee was available in the room, which was a small inconvenience. In summary, the hotel's fantastic location and helpful staff made the stay enjoyable, despite the minor drawbacks related to its age and in-room amenities.

Located across from the Lincoln Center where my nephew was preforming. Restaurants within walking distance. Easy access to the buses and subway. Staff was friendly and professional. All of them. The only thing I saw that needed attention was that the bathroom door on the inside could use some sanding and paint. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be returning. There was some noise as we were on the first floor but I think anywhere you stayed you’ll hear the hustle and bustle of the city.

Hotel location was excellent. Lovely friendly boutique hotel. We were so grateful that we were able to get an early check in after a red eye! Amorino and Starbucks right under the hotel made coffee a non-issue. Would definitely return!

Location is unbeatable. Tired old building, carpets overdue for replacement, hot water takes ages, no laptop safe in the room. Receptionists are courteous but not very helpful and mostly officious.Hardly a three star hotel...but in NYC hotels can get away with anything. Real stars of Empire are the cleaning staff and "bell-boys". Always friendly and go an extra mile. They all deserve five stars.

I've stated at the Empire Hotel twice and will continue to do so. The hotel itself isn't in the best condition but i would say it's good. If you're looking for high-end luxury, this would not be the hotel. Though there is a rooftop restaurant/bar, there is no in-room dining because the hotel doesn't have a kitchen. However, its location is great. The Lincoln Center is across the street as well as the 66 St-Lincoln Center subway station. And it's not packed with the normal tourist crown around the neighborhood. It's a short stroll to Central Park and a short walk to Columbus Square. For me, I am not in the hotel for much of my stays so this fits me just perfectly. Staff are helpful and my rooms have been very clean. Hall is a bit dark but that doesn't bother me.

Empire Hotel is a very nice hotel within a great area close to things. The rooftop was nice. The service needs improvement. When I arrived I had the hotel hold my luggage till check in which was great. Only thing when it was time to check in, I received my bags but wasn’t offered any help taking them up to my room. Also, I had to call the front desk, the phone rang and rang. Finally someone answered and put me on hold and never got back to me. I had to hang up and call back. Honestly I expected better service for what was paid for my stay.
