This hotel was quick to meet my needs. The breakfast was delicious and was more than I expected. I was expecting sleeping on a hard bed and pillow. To my delight I woke up and felt great! Thanks for making my stay very enjoyable!

We know this area doesn’t get much traffic, so this property really adapted well to the increase in traffic for the solar eclipse! The staff could not have been any nicer! Although it is an older hotel, and isn’t perfect, the rooms were very clean. We would stay there again!!

Finding Solace
After dealing with vehicle troubles and escaping from a very poorly rated hotel, I was relieved to be able to find rest and peace at this hotel. The staff was as helpful as possible and the stay was comfortable.

The condition of the facility did not live up to the normal Hampton Dirty , not well kept, paint peeling in the room. However, the worst was the check in the pm of 12/9/23. The attendant did not recognize that we were standing waiting for her attention. Never even looked up for several minutes. And then when she did was rude and less than helpful. The checkout experience was much better.

Excellent Accessibility
Stopped for an overnight stay and we're very impressed by this facility. We booked an accessible King room and it had everything we needed for the stay. While a little far from the front door, the handicapped parking was well situated just outside the door closest to our room. The walk in shower was spacious, equipped with plenty of handails, a shower chair, and a very nice handheld shower head. There was ample space to move about the room, and everything was very clean. We also appreciated the smart TV where in addition to complimentary access to Showtime one demand we could also sign in to our own Netflix account and continue watching our own shows. The breakfast in the morning was well stocked and clean.

I love that this property has both a pool and Spa. It also has a pretty nice gym, but there is also a very close 24 hour fitness & planet fitness a little further. I also love the Continental breakfast everything was so yummy! Best one I’ve experienced. They also had delicious cookies when we checked in, an excellent snack after our long drive. What I did not like was that the hotel was under construction throughout the day and we were not offered any discount for this inconvenience. Most people book hotels online and you can’t know these types of things ahead of time online through a third party system. Also the bathroom in our room was not the cleanest. My kids wanted a bath and there were disgusting floaty things in the water. At first, I thought it could be anything but they took a second bath while we were there and the same thing happened. It does seem that the bathrooms are apart of the renovation. Hopefully the renovation fixes that. Otherwise very nice overall stay.

The Assistant General Manager - Hampton Inn, Marion was absolutely THEE best. She helped me navigate and worked with me through my grief and bereavement. My mother died and I was there for her funeral. The phone service was unavailable on location, she went ABOVE and BEYOND to ensure I was comfortable and had everything that I needed. Not only that, she provided me with her cell number in the event that I needed anything. Additionally, as a M.S. patient, she didn't treat me as if I was a bother because of my disability. Because of Rachel and the team present on this past weekend, I would with no hesitation stay again with the exceptional service I received!!! She (R.C.) needs a raise, a promotion...a week off in the Caribbean, all expenses paid.

My stay at the Hampton Inn Marion was very last minute and not in my plans . My 1 year old son and myself were in a horrible car accident on I-69 , we were on our way to Missouri to start a new journey and unfortunately our car was totaled in this accident and I needed a place for the night until my family could get to me . My mom booked this room for me and when I got to the hotel & explained my situation , EVERYONE was so kind and helpful . I could not thank all the staff enough for their amazing hospitality and everything they did to quickly get me and my son into our room and safe . I have never had such a great experience at a hotel ever . If I’m ever back in the area I will definitely be staying again .

I really was surprised that whole milk for cereal/coffee? I also was disappointed that cheese only mixed with eggs was offered,no option without. This property had zero vacancies when I went through Expedia to reserve the room. Desk staff at the hotel said that had happened repeatedly that day. Neither Expedia nor the Hampton Inn will provide me a refund for a stay that did not occur due to no fault of my own.

The grout and calk around in the area around the bathtub could use some repairs. Outlets available between the bed were loose, our electronics were able to charge, just didn't have the positive plug-in response when plugging the wall-warts. Other than the above, the room was clean, nice and dark when the blinds were closed, and fairly quiet.

Fitness Center out of order / being renovated. Elevator out of order. Ceiling by hot tub dripping next to hot tub. Stains in bath tub so we wore sandals when we showered. Room had a slight odor. Big pass.

Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey. I'm sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. We are in the beginning stages of renovation, and we know that our hotel needs some TLC. Since we are under new ownership we are finally able to renovate and get our property looking it's absolute best. But, with renovation the beginning is always the toughest. As of last night our elevator is finally up and running and coming up we will be renovating our guest rooms. We are very excited about our future and I do hope that if your travels bring you back to Marion that you do give us another chance. We have a bright future ahead of us and we're looking forward to the final product!

If it wasn't for Expedia this stay wouldn't of got such a bad review. I made a reservation online about 4 hours before we arived at the hotel. When we got there we gave them the booking number and they said they didn't have a booking number that matched. So we tried to call Expedia. That was extremely disappointing trying to actually talk to a human let alone someone that actually understood what I was saying in English. After all of that Expedia tried calling the hotel and their phone systems were down. Expedia said they would send an email instead. They did that and the "assistant manager" says to us that she does NOT have access to the business email account. I asked for the manager. Apparently the manager was not working and also unavailable to reach by phone or anyother means of communication. My family ( myself,wife and 3 younger children) had to sit in the lobby for 3 hours while Expedia and this hotel tried to get us checked in with the languge barrier from Expedia, Marriott front counter not having access to company emails (on a Friday night I might add) and Marriotts phone system not working it was a nightmare. Expedia's resolution to this because the booking number didn't work was to cancel my booking and restart everything from scratch like we didn't make a reservation at all. We finally got checked in 3 and a half hours later. After all of this. All of this headache I just checked my credit card and 2 weeks later and i was charged 3 times for the same booking.

Not great
The room I reserved wasn't available at check in. My only option was a king with a pull out couch. No bedding for the pull out. The AC/ heat unit was so loud it woke us up several times a night. Elevator was broken. The room wasn't as clean as is like. I found an mnm on the floor.

The breakfast was always very good. The room was clean. The front automatic door was broken, elevator was broken, outlets in the bathroom kept tripping, there was no information in the room regarding any of the hotel amenities and I understand why. We tried to use the pool during normal pool hours on a Saturday evening, but the pool had closed early (we were told due to lack of available towels). When we arrived at midnight on Thursday, the front desk attendant apologized for the broken down elevator and said, "If you need assistance with your bags, I do not care to assist you." Our room was on the second floor and we truly did not need assistance to get to it, however, that statement was very unprofessional and not necessary. The elevator was broken on Thursday when we arrived. I don't know how long it had been out of commission prior to that, however, it SHOULD have been fixed first thing Friday morning. We checked out on Sunday and it was still broken. The front doors were non-functional on Saturday morning with a sign posted to "push the doors apart." There was no sign asking to push the doors back together to keep the cold weather out. People were entering, and not closing the doors. Numerous times I had to get up to close them myself while eating breakfast. There is obvious a serious problem with the management of this hotel. It's owner should be very ashamed of this service!

The property was quiet with easy parking and the location felt safe. The elevator awaited repair; but the representative at the front desk offered a 1st floor unit, if needed. It was not needed and the stairway to the upper floors was most convenient and made for pleasant access.

I loved the hot tub and pool area. The wood in the room was nice and looking out the window from the hot tub was picturesque.
