Best hotel in Loreto! Location is right in the middle of the malecon. Close to everything. Beds are so soft and comfy! Didnt want to get out of bed. And the view of the ocean is spectacular!! And if you stay here, You must try the pizza at their hotel restaurant! So good!

There's really no property in downtown Loreto that's comparable to La Mision. The hotel is on the waterfront. There are few beaches along that rocky shore of Baja, but the convenience of the Malecon just across a not very busy avenue, shouldn't be underestimated. The hotel's staff is over-the-top friendly and helpful. Their restaurants cook up extraordinary daily meals, and are open early to late. La Mision is easy to recommend.

Good but needs a bit more to be amazing
Overall it was a good stay. The fitness center was not open at all and there is no beach access. The majority of the staff was welcoming and helpful but the manager was rude every time we spoke with him. They also did construction around our room for 3 days which prevented us from being able to rest in our room if we wanted to during the day. The pool bar was closed for a few days as well but once up and running was a nice amenity for the pool days we had planned. Rooms were lovely and view was awesome but it got too cold to sit on the balcony once it was shaded.

Hotel La Misión Loreto altamente recomendado, todo el personal muy amable y atento a todo lo que necesites… Las amenidades del hotel son de lo mejor, recomiendo la Pizza Margarita en el Mezquite Bar y Desayunar en el Buffet del Restaurant Los Olivos con la atención de Javier, Víctor, Alain y Jafeth… . Tiene una excelente vista al Mar de Cortez y a las islas

Rudy at checkin was amazing. Helped us with our snorkel excursion, finding a restaurant to cook my husbands fish he caught. Always greeted us as we walked by. Helped with translating. Stellar employee!

Great views
We stayed twice on our recent trip through Mexico. Both rooms were very clean and quiet. Check-in was a breeze. We did request an ocean view for both stays. The first room was on the second floor and a lot of the ocean view was blocked by the palm trees, so a bit disappointing, but the second stay was on the 4th floor and views were phenomenal. Definitely recommend requesting the 3rd or 4th floor if you want unhindered views. We would also get a 'superior' suite next time, since the luxury suites don't have sitting areas (but there are chairs on the balcony) or mini fridges. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Starbucks in the lobby has a large variety of hot/cold coffees, with non dairy options. The Mezquite Bar & Pizza Grill offers relaxed dining by the pool, great margaritas and delicious pizza, made to order. There was also live music one night which added a festive feel. Los Olivos is a more formal experience, which we did not visit, so unable to comment. You can charge all dining, and coffees to your room so no need to constantly be pulling out your wallet. Location is great, being right across the road from the promenade. It is also only 2 minute walk to the entrance to the Malecon. We will definitely be staying again.

Its great that you ended up with a room that had a beautiful view of the Sea of Cortez, it is so pretty here in Loreto. We are glad you enjoyed the Mezquite Pizza Grill; it is a very unique and beautiful pool side dining experience and when you add a little live music, it is certainly the place to be on a Thursday evening. Since it was “all you can eat” pizza night, we hope you enjoyed trying the different types of pizza available too. It also sounds like you got a chance to take advantage of La Mision’s excellent location on the Malecon right next to Loreto’s Central Plaza where many of the shops and historical sites are located. This hotel is right across the road from the Sea of Cortez. The view is amazing! The hospitality of the staff is superior to anything you’ll find in the states. Wonderful restaurant and awesome bar and grill down by the swimming pool.
