I recently stayed at the Leonardo Hotel in East Croydon and overall, I had a positive experience. The location was very convenient, just a short walk from the train station, which was perfect for travel to London. The staff at the reception were friendly and check-in was smooth. My room was comfortable and clean, with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection of hot and cold dishes, and the quality of the food was good. Although there were some minor downsides, such as the room's soundproofing, I would still recommend the Leonardo Hotel for its convenient location, friendly staff, and comfortable accommodations.

Really friendly check in staff. Room was really spacious with a fridge. Nice bar and patio area (albeit overlooking a main road). A few bits could be improved; soap dispensers weren't clean and a bit dusty all round, but would stay again.

The hotel was freezing cold. Couldn’t sit in the bar as it was so cold. I asked for a portable heater 3 times but was told that there wasn’t any available. I was also unable to shower as it pointed straight down to the drain so couldn’t stand underneath When I asked why there wasn’t any SOOO in the room I was told they were out of stock.

Worked for me
No problems. The bath safety is an issue. Slippery tub and no adequate grab bars. Scrap the tub and simply use a walk in shower. Easier and safer. Restaurant staff are excellent and helpful 100%. How about a few early access rooms for those of us flying in overnight from N America. Waiting until 3:00 is a rea downer -- even for a reasonable comfortable room. Had forgotten how cold English hotels can be!

Clean and comfortable but poor attitude
Overall the quality of the hotel was fine, room was in good condition and breakfast quality good. The reception staff however were disinterested and unhelpful. On arrival I was waiting behind a lady who I thought was a disgruntled staff member remonstrating with the two receptionists. Only when another staff member approached reception and saw me waiting did he then point out to the staff I was there and it transpired all of the people at reception were employees they had just opted to make me wait whilst they continued their argument/conversation.

The hotel its self was lovley. The women who checked us in i found very rude! Other staff were friendly and nice. My room was clean apart from blood on the sheet of the single bed and the coffee cup not been clean.. when i went to reception to let them no there was no one about. Same for check out no one was about.

Fantastic hotel
It’s the third time we have stayed at the hotel every thing about the hotel is fantastic bar the breakfast!! It’s never been hot … but that will not stop us from staying there we may not have breakfast due to there being a Co-op being a short distance up the road. I must say the staff on the front desk were brilliant they are a credit to you well done.
