“The oldest continually operating resort on the strip.”
And it shows. I had raised hopes for our stay at The Flamingo but found myself bummed out at every turn. Elevators that felt like an escape room to function correctly, rooms with a great view but no way to take a picture out of, horrendous wi-fi, and featureless amenities that made you feel like you were staying in a prison cell. I know they want you to spend spend spend in Vegas…but no laundry bag or pen and paper?
Also, being able only to connect two devices to their (horrible) wi-fi is ridiculous. We stayed on an executive level floor, and at least those rooms should be offered the opportunity to connect more (or get a free drink since the $14.99 extra device charge is equivalent)
We asked for housekeeping on our third day, and when no one had come when we returned midday, we called and asked if they were coming. The front desk (or rather their text service IVY) said housekeeping happens throughout the day. When we came back after midnight, the room still wasn’t done.
The pool is so loud we could hear it on the 28th floor loud and clear. And it’s apparently open to anyone that wants a dip. They don't check your hotel card to make sure you are a guest…so good luck getting a chair unless you reserve an expensive seating option…and be prepared to pay $40 for a drink.
I can’t believe we were talked out of staying at The Mirage this time - the experience there was so much better on every level.
