位置略遠但有免費接送，客房服務都一試難忘
英語流利的前枱是日式旅館少有。現在酒店正翻新，故有部份浴場沒有開放，中庭也是封閉狀態，但房中浴室也很舒服。房間有日式庭園景式，秋季有紅葉非常怡人，窗邊是小桌子有和菓子和綠茶供應非常舒服。房中有保濕機非常適合日本乾燥氣候，可惜翌早我才發現，若果服務員可以代開啟保濕機就更好。 希望翻新完畢我可以再次入住。

the location is easy to find and there are some nice restaurants nearby that the hotel stuff will friendly recommend for you. However, the hot spring is not that big enough, other than that, the view is great if you like the forest. We have car, so it's fine. If you don't have car, they will have shuttle bus to the nearest subway station. I suggest those who want to drive a car and try not to stay far away from the city.

Excellent customer service, nice facilities
It is a nice traditional japanese ryokan. Staff speaks fluent English n they are very polite and patient to guests. The decoration is nice and the ryokan is maintained new. The ryokan provides a really great environment and facilities for us to experience traditional japanese living. There is no critic to the ryokan. Nice!!!

Literally everything about this place has been absolutely amazing. We got the tatami floor room with a bath and a view. The room is huge, the bathtub is huge, and the futons are more comfortable than expected. The view is beautiful too! I go in and out a lot to smoke, so I like that the smoking section is close to the entrance. But every time I walk by the front desk I am greeted with nothing but happiness and smiles. I have felt sooooo welcome here. The private Onsen was super nice and clean too! The location is pretty far away from anything so be prepared to spend a lot on taxis. But I knew that coming here. I'm happy it's on the super outskirts of Kyoto. It's so quiet up here in the mountains compared to the center of the city. This was the perfect way to end our trip in Japan. There's also lots of temples within walking distance to see! They even held our luggage for us on the first day so we could explore. Then our luggage was waiting for us in the room when we walked in! The place has really good wifi too! It This was a definite 10/10.

We stayed at Ryokan Nenrinbo recently and had a wonderful stay. The room was beautiful and clean with a view of the cherry blossom trees from outside our window, and the futons were super comfortable. They had complimentary hot water and sencha for us to have each morning, which was a really nice touch. The only thing we were disappointed in was the food - we had originally paid to have breakfast and dinner included in our stay but we disliked the dinner the first night so much that we ended up not having any other meals at the hotel. I would recommend booking a room but skipping the food and instead getting to try all the wonderful other dining options in Kyoto.

早めに着いてしまい、12時くらいに伺ったのですが館内は真っ暗で、開いているのか心配になりました。中からスタッフの方が出て来てくれましたが、暗いというのはあまり良い印象は受けませんでした。お風呂は露天はありませんが、十分広く良かったです。

Everything was good
Everything was good. Staffs were so friendly and kind, and they tried to explain everything to make me feel comfy. The room we stayed was newly renovated (or they made them new building, I am not sure) so clean and the food (dinner and breakfast which I booked) was very healthy and delicious. And the public bath was really good. We didn’t need to take a shower separately. Overall, it was great pleasure to stay here.

旅館スタッフさんの対応が丁寧で快く宿泊ができました。キッズルームも宴会場？を活用されているのかとても広くおもちゃもあり、子どもものびのび滞在できました。お部屋にはオムツ用のゴミ箱も設置、お食事会場には子ども用椅子も事前に準備されていました。大浴場は綺麗ですが、換気扇が脱衣所と浴室ともによく効いており身体を洗っている最中冷え、あがってからもヒヤッとしました。シャワー圧はとっても強く、長くは浴びるのは難しいです。お客さんが多いと違うかもですが…

Quiet and traditional charm
This is a charming and authentic Japanese inn. The only beds are futon mats on a tatami floor and the service is extremely attentive. The breakfast is a major meal that we highly recommend, it is beautiful and all the guest go down to breakfatsbwearing the traditional vacation robes that they provide in the rooms. Overall, we had a great time. It is far from the city center, so it is good for people looking for a glimpse of a quieter neighborhood at the foot of the hills.

また行っても良いと思いました。
庭が見れなかったのと、源光庵が拝観出来なかったのは残念でしたが、のんびり出来て、お部屋もとっても広く、ご飯も沢山で美味しかったです。プールは近所の人が多く、少しわちゃわちゃしてました。

Surrounded by zen
I absolutely loved staying at Nenrimbo! Especially the customer service and hospitality made me feel welcomed and special. I arrived after 8pm and had to take a cab ( a few minutes away ) to go to a nearby convenience store as the hotel is located in a little bit remote area and it’s dark around. But for those who are looking for a place to regain inner zen and be mindful, this is THE place to be. I’ll certainly be staying here again on weekends.

We took a taxi from our first hotel to reach here as was a bit far from the city. It has a very beautiful garden, we got a room with the garden mountain view, was just amazing. It is very quiet so we had some peaceful time. We stayed for a day, the time frame they have 3pm -10am might be a short for a day trip, but we were ok about that. The main feature was their dinner and breakfast, which I recommend to experience! It was grand and so unique. If you are up for Japanese experience it is a must!

Great stay In Kyoto
The ryokan was amazing, first time to stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The only downside of it. Would be the fact that it’s far away front kyoto station. Making moving around Kyoto a bit difficult. Only means of transportation would be either Taxi from the hotel or you can take the bus number 6 that comes every 30-60 minutes and the station is very close to the hotel. Their onsen was also very clean and nice.

昔の良さ失われたかな…
かつて30年近く前に宿泊したことがあったが、洛中の喧騒を離れて古い建物にも風情を感じながら滞在させてもらった。今回、その時の印象を同行の妻にも伝え期待しながら一泊滞在させていただいたが、例えば館内案内の冊子が洗面所の脇に置かれて目につきにくくフロントに聞いても要領を得ない、帰り際に偶然見つけたが，サービス全体もそのイロハが未熟という感じで、辛い感想になってしまった。建物自体も何か薄っぺらく表面的な佇まいで、旧の風情が失われたようで残念だった。宿泊費用はこの程度なら実際に払った半分でも良いと思った。

秋の紅葉を見に宿泊
宿泊した部屋は、新装した和洋室で非常に綺麗でした。 気になったのは、広い洋室の中に和室を一段上げて作っているため、ベッド周辺のカーペット部分が土足になることから、室内でもスリッパを履かないといけないなど、個人的には、若干くつろいだ感が薄れました。 またお風呂場の設備が若干古いためか、いくつかのシャワー口の水側の水量調整が出来ておらず、シャワー中に熱湯が出てくる場所がありましたので、点検をされたほうが良いと思います。 朝食は、湯豆腐や焼き鮭など非常に充実しておりましたが、席に着席するまえに、温めるための固形燃料が燃え尽きていたので、旅館のルールかとは思いますが、違和感を覚えました。 総じて、満足できる旅館だと思います。

静かな佇まいの料理旅館
11月初旬に1泊しました。風呂は沸かし湯ですが、料理は質も量も満足レベルです。土日の宿泊で人手が足らなかった様ですが不満には感じませんでした。おしむらくは、自慢の庭園が修理のため立ち入れなかったこと。宿の周囲は何も見るものが無く、散歩くらいしかないので少し残念でした。 朝食は一般よりも２～３品多い感じで女性は食べきれ無いかも。

Beaucoup de points à améliorer
L’endroit sur les hauteurs de Kyoto est très calme. Nous avons séjourné dans la partie rénovée, trop coûteuse mais agréable. La partie ancienne ne donne pas envie. Petit déjeuner traditionnel imposé, pas terrible servi à 8h30 au plus tard. Tout est imposé dans ce ryokan. Seulement une serviette de petite taille par personne qu’il faut prendre partout : bain, onsen, piscine. Il faut mendier pour en avoir une autre. Une gestion familiale qui manque de générosité. Dommage car beaucoup de potentiel: beau cadre à la base, installations inégales.

A truly magical experience. Well worth the cost
Decided to try a ryoken experience and wasn't disappointed. The room was traditional Japanese. Large and comfortable. First thing that sprung out was no bed but that's made up for you during dinner. The dinner was exquisite. So many courses in a degustation menu. Lots of sushimi soups and rice. Some meat. You won't go hungry and wine, Saki, beer reasonably priced. Futon made up on arrival back to your room and it was surprisingly comfortable. Breakfast was Japanese again. Didn't recognise .most food but a pleasant change. An expensive night but when in Rome.. or kyoto, try it

素敵なホテルでした
花見シーズンで予約の取れるホテルが少ない中で空きがあり雰囲気も気に入ったので予約。 少しアクセスが悪いですが今回は原谷苑に行った帰りで、歩いて30分弱だったので丁度良かったです。 従業員さんの対応や案内はとても丁寧で、快適に過ごすことができました。 ただ壁が薄いのか、隣の部屋の足音や物音などが少し気になりました。 チェックアウト時には金閣寺か北大路まではシャトルバスを出してくれました。 またこの近辺に旅行に行くことがあれば、また泊まりたいです。

Excelente atención
Excelente ryokan, no es economico. Muy buen tamaño de habitación y comodidades. Ideal para quienes viajan con auto, esta en un lugar tranquilo alejado de la gran ciudad, a unos 15 minutos en auto.

Great hotel for an authentic experience
We loved our stay at this hotel. An amazing authentic atsmofear with a public bath with a view over the mountains and a great Japanese breakfast. Nearby you have temples that you easily can get to via bus. We got recommended a great yakitori restaurant not far (with a cab) from the hotel. Our stay in Kyoto would not been the same without this hotel. The service was perfect and the staff was so kind and helpful. The hotel even offer a shuttle bus to/from the metro station and if you ask to the Golden temple. If you're looking for a place close to city, this is not for you. But if you're looking for a great hotel with an authentic experience, please book!
