This hotel needs to be updated, especially the heating system. There was no thermostat temperature indicators in the rooms, only a dial that indicated hotter and colder. We didn't even unpack in the first room it was so hot. We moved to a smaller room and they weren't able to credit us the price difference, but gave us restaurant vouchers. It was so hot in the hotel, they kept a door in the restaurant partially opened. The second room seemed a bit cooler, but we still opened the window. Unfortunately, it faced the parking lot and major roadway, so the noise kept us up. The manager was helpful and found us a third room in the basement reserved for pet owners, so no carpet. At that point, we didn't care, just wanted to sleep in a room that didn't feel like a sauna. Would not recommend this hotel. Maybe after an upgrade. We stayed there because it was next door to the Juneau culture center where we were meeting for our Nat Geo cruise.
