I was assigned a room which had a broken lock. I was told that I just needed to come to the desk everytime I wanted to enter the room and they would let me in. I was told that they couldn't change my room even though plenty were available. the employee threw my key cards in the air and exclaimed that "now, you're going to get me in trouble" when I said it wasn't acceptable. our bathroom door had a hole made by a fist that wasn't fixed. we had a cockroach crawling around the bathroom floor. the walls and floors had no sound insulation whatsoever and noisy neighbors kept us up. they had a no smoking sign at the main entrance and two employees were unashamedly smoking in front of the sign.

Horrible rooms, stained carpet, smelly rooms, torn and stained blankets, damaged bathroom door, cockroach in the bathroom, mold in the carpert everywhere. I will never stay there.

We stayed here while moving our oldest into college. The pictures on Expedia are a false representation of this hotel. I wish I could upload my own of the holes in the doors, blood in the bathroom, uncleaned tub, missing carpet, and the cigarette burns in a non smoking room. Needless to say, do not stay here.

Cockroaches everywhere
The room was full of cockroaches. They got into my suitcase. All my clients changed the hotel because of how filthy and disgusting it was. My worse ever hotel experience and I am 58.

I have never pulled into a hotel that I got a bad feeling immediately. The grass was uncut and the area where bushes were was weedy and unkept. There were three cars in the entire parking lot. When we went in to register the person at the front desk was adequate. However, when we walked into the room it smelled of smoke, the floor was sticky, the toilet did not flush and the bathroom door did not close. The one dresser in the room was missing the veneer on part of the exterior and the exterior doors into the building did not lock. After some back and forth discussions we decided to check out (which I will say the front desk person did not give us any trouble doing this) and looked for another place to stay. We found out in talking to other establishments (restaurant and hotel/motel personnel) that social services houses the homeless and recently released prisoners at this location.

The property was in terrible condition. There was a moldy smell as soon as we stepped into the lobby. Our family had two rooms. Both rooms had many cockroaches, dead and alive. My mom, in her 80's, stayed up and killed 10 roaches overnight. When I tried to use the hairdryer in the bathroom, 3 cockroaches, 1 live and 2 dead, shot out of the hairdryer with one hanging onto the grille for its dear life! The floor was dirty. The blankets had cigarette holes on them. We would've left within an hour if it wasn't already midnight when we checked in. The only good point about the hotel was that when we complained to the front desk person in the morning and asked to check out, she looked horrified hearing about our experience and gave us a full refund. I usually don't write reviews but this was probably the worst hotel I had ever stayed in. It was almost a health hazard.

Filty and Scary place and location!
the hotel looks like is isn't even open . Weeds growing in parking lot. Dark and dingy looking. Inside it is filthy. Carpets dirty. Paint off walls, Found out later it is used as a homeless shelter and druggies hang out there all the time. the person at the desk was nice to cancel without a fee but other than that she was not friendly or very informative of the area. We canceled after weeing our rooms. Will never stay at another Econo Lodge. The good ratings have to be made up by employees!

This is the most disgusting place I’ve ever set foot in. My mistake for not reading the reviews, but the pictures must be of only one room in the entire hotel. I walked into a room with cigarette burns on the bedding, holes in the wall, filthy carpet, furniture without drawer fronts, and a black toilet that overflowed when it flushed even without toilet paper. I can’t “unsmell” the place. I was initially alarmed by the shady parking lot and the lobby garbage that was overflowing. It went from bad to the worst ever. I was there for 2 minutes and walked right out. Do not make my same expensive mistake. Don’t stay here! Expedia, you shouldn’t list this place!

I was moving my kids into school and was to stay here one night to pick up my car rental at the airport. I arrived at 11pm, and the room smelled of feces and mold. It was unbearable. The room was unsanitary and not habitable. was told it is a long-term place for homeless people. I had to stay elsewhere.

I have never had to turn around and leave a hotel before but I did just that. It was the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen. The carpets in the stairways, hallways and lobby had not been vacuumed in ages. The entire premise smelled of smoke and there were holes in the walls in my room. I didn’t get a refund (150.00) but it was worth it to not have to stay there.

The property was dingy and dirty. They were roaches in our room, our bathroom. There was dried food all over the floor in our room and gum stuck to the walls of our room. There was mildew and mold in the toilet, and in the shower. There was no bedspread on the bed. There were sheets with hair on them from other people and the sheets had cigarette holes in them.

The pictures on hotels.com are not close to recent. Place looked abandoned. Weeds everywhere, carpets filthy, paint off the walls, reeked of smoke and marijuana. Appeared to be a lot of permanent residents at the facility. Only positive was the ac worked great, the staff and residents were friendly Hotels.com should be ashamed to have this hotel on their site.

Moving my kid into college from out of state, limited options. The facility was absolutely disgusting. Cigarette butts on the floor, stained carpets, holes in the walls, etc. I arranged for my kid to sleep elsewhere (camping with their dad) with the car with all their college belongings (did not want to risk the car getting broken into). I slept in my clothes and opted out of a shower (gross with hair).

The Expedia pictures are totally deceptive. This place is a dump. Filthy. Broken. Soiled. No breakfast. Creepy. We came in late and I would have slept in my car if the parking lot was not so creepy and poorly lit. The staff was polite though.

No exercise room. Ac kept it cool but very noisy. The bathroom door had a fist-sized ho;e in it. The tub and sink are so worn = chunks of the finish worn off. It looked like they were dirty (they were not). no coffee/breakfast.. Certainly not worth the $$

Hotels.com sent the wrong information, but the front desk staff at Econo Lodge dealt with it satisfactorily-the staff is the lodge’s biggest asset. Every thing else is out of order- no breakfast and no laundry room. Maintenance issues everywhere and the room cost is exorbitant considering the lack of amenities

Driving up to motel we thought it was abandoned. Weeds growing up all around it. Strange looking people wandering outside that looked like homeless people. Entrance nasty dirty with overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. I would have left and not stayed if not for the friendly staff. They made many charges to my credit card and gave me a receipt for a lower price, for 1 extra night. I really thought your service included checking the quality of the motels on your listings? Can you advise me on how to get my money back?

Cleanliness and secury was an issue during stay. “Non-smoking” room smelled like smoke and dirty mop water. Window was open (my guess) to air out the room when I entered the room. I could not close or latch the window closed. Front desk staff said no maintenance was on site at time and she felt she resolved my issue by slamming the window hard enough that it wouldn’t open although the latch was not secured. I was on the first floor. I asked if there were other rooms, there none available, for a full hotel there was never more than 10 cars in the lot at night. There an odd group of people constantly hanging out at the gazebo behind the hotel which is why I always took my belongs with me when leaving for the day. The town was busy with family weekend at one of the colleges so I could not find other accommodations. Nothing against the hotel is they provide emergency housing to locals but the lack of cleanliness alone is why I won’t stay here again. I went to Aldi and picked up cleaning supplies to get some of the stench off the floor. Hallway carpexrs…dirty as well. I’ve stayed at Econo Lodges in Montana that are way more comfortable than this location. The hotel across the street is not as modern as this place but I would take cleanliness and safety over modern any day. Not what I expected.

The service was friendly enough. The lobby and stairway/hallway was run down and shabby/dirty. The room itself however was large and comfortable and clean. Hard floors and nice beds. Good enough for our one-night stay.

This hotel is clearly used as a shelter for homeless people many of whom are mentally ill and have drug addictions. I saw people dragging large trash bags full of belongings and pushing empty shopping carts around the parking lot. Upon entering the building I saw a crying kitten trapped between a screen and window and was told that EconoLodge is a pet friendly hotel. I learned when I left after one hour that many cats and dogs live in the tiny rooms and are considered therapy animals. I am a recently retired educator who has worked with the prison population over the course of my career as they seek to turn their lives around. I am a compassionate individual but felt very uneasy and not at all safe at this facility. It is populated by people from the St Johns Community Center in downtown Ithaca unbeknownst to anyone who checks in. Only one other car from Florida was in the parking lot when I arrived This is not a hotel for weary travelers looking for a place to rest and relax. False advertising and a nightmare experience all around.

Terrible condition, stain /Mold everywhere. Dirty rooms, room window probably not cleaned in couple of years. Toilet bowl has lot of mold. Sink doesn’t drain water. Bath tub doesn’t drain water, its like you are standing in a pool. Nothing in this hotel is likable. Mold smell everywhere.

Not the Place to Stay
Did not stay, we could not check in as there was no staff anywhere to be found for over 30 min wait time. There was Mold and an oder, Major Helth concern!! Cancelled and went someplace else. Do not stay here - Run away do not walk!!!. Picture on web are mis leading. I would rather sleep in my car..

The pictures from the website doesn’t show reality of property. This hotel needs to be updated from check in lobby area, carpets, flooring on bedroom, bathroom toilet seat, etc. The smell is bad too.
