First night we had the Historic room. The sink was completely clogged and the faucet was dripping ALL NIGHT. We decided to stay another night and informed the front desk of the sink issue hoping they could fix it. However they decided to move us to a “better” room, to make up for the inconvenience. So we had to pack up our stuff & move. At night we came back from our activities & went to the new room. We wanted to shower & go to the lobby to enjoy the live music. But when we got to our “better” room, it smelled strongly of mold & had roaches. My husband smashed one his bare hand, and another ran underneath the bed. I had to call the front desk again. They moved us to another room, so pack up and unpack again. Bc of this we ended up missing out on the live music downstairs.
I also had spa services. The bath treatment was good, but the massage was subpar. The therapist said she’s been massaging for 47 years, longer than I’ve been alive. But all she did was rub lotion on me. I’m a licensed massage therapist, which I didn’t tell her. As a client it didn’t feel great. As a trained therapist it felt like she was just starting massage school. Swedish has 5 strokes, but all she used was effleurage the ENTIRE time. She had no technique & seemed unexperienced. It was just a generic lotion rub down, not worth the money I paid for it. Upon check out the front desk refunded me $50. I felt like it should’ve been more for having to move 3 times and dealing with roaches.
