This hotel is pretty from the outside, and the lobby, but that's it. Almost the entire property is locked down and not usable by guests. The TV barely works, the WiFi barely works, the breakfast was little more than coffee and donuts (why bother). I don't want to say it was all bad. The room was clean, but there is no paper or pens if you need to make notes, you might not have hot water, there is no air conditioning, the room darkening drapes do not work. You could stay at worse places in Eureka. If all you need is a clean bed and bathroom, and little else, this place will fit the bill. There are good restaurants within walking distance (only most are closed on Monday or Tuesday). The front desk staff has a list, but it is inaccurate, so you'll need to trust your phone and do your own research. Parking is limited, but it's never crowded, so it's not much of an issue. The one positive thing I can say is, if they put any effort into it, this place could be great to stay at-- if they bother to decorate for the holidays, it should be very pretty.
