The Pros-the location is a couple of blocks from Oconnel Street which has numerous pubs, stores, restaurants, entertainment etc. The staff at the hotel was very welcoming. The room was clean, and the bed was fine.
The downside-
The hotel is a boutique hotel. Small rooms, no closets, tiny bathroom, no air conditioning to speak of. You can open the window, but we faced the alleyway and constant sounds, sirens, noise prevented you from keeping the window open at night. The area around the hotel has several closed businesses and has a somewhat sketchy feel outside of the hotel on the alley side. If you have a rental car, there is no place to park nearby and plan on spending around 35.00 a day to park the car some 15 minutes away.
At the end of the day, it was the basic necessity provided. An aged small hotel for a fair price.
