TEN OUT OF TEN IN EVERY RESPECT. We absolutely loved our stay here, everything was perfect. Staff are extremely well trained , very competent, super friendly and helpful. Each and every member of staff strive for perfection. The cleanliness of the hotel is superb, the lobby smells divine, lemon grass I think?? The aesthetics and decor of the interior is lovely. The views of the beach from the balcony were stunning. Breakfast there is so much choice but most importantly of good quality. The location for My Khe beach is perfect, several seafood restaurants within walking distance, also a few small supermarkets. Grab taxi is cheap to get around and see the sights. My only suggestion would be to do a "happy hour" at the roof bar as when we went there one evening there was nobody up there so it lacked a bit of atmosphere but this is not a complaint in anyway, just a suggestion. Beautiful hotel with beautiful staff. If we ever find ourselves in Danang again (we hope so) we would stay here again without hesitation. We were sad to leave. Thank you to all the staff, you work so hard to please everyone. *We did note at breakfast one morning two guests were so rude to a member of staff because she asked to clarify their room number. Despicable behaviour, they should be ashamed. Sorry this happened to a lovely staff member. We love you Sel-De-Mer!

What a wonderful property. The hotel was clean and offered plenty of features. The real highlight was the staff. They were absolutely incredible. They were helpful, courteous and attentive. Probably the best hospitality I have ever experienced. The room was spacious and offered an amazing view. Dining options were good. The breakfast buffet was a great way to fuel up before heading out for the day. If I return to Da Nang, I will definitely stay at this hotel.

The highlight of this hotel were the wonderful staff. Across the board they were all friendly, professional and helpful. Our junior suite room was wonderful with a perfect view of the ocean with large opening doors.

It was our first time staying a Sel de Mer and we had an amazing experience. Check in was smooth, room was very spacious and clean. No stong bleach smell like other hotels we’ve stayed at. We had breakfast included which was very nice, everything was fresh and not too heavy. We had no issues with staff, everyone was very friendly and helpful. My partner used the gym facilities which he said were great. My only criticism was the pool area which lost its sun very early in the day. But overall great experience.

Beautiful hotel and great views.
The hotel was wonderful. Modern but in keeping with the location. The hotel was located on one side of the beach so we had a great blend of quiet and bustle just a few minutes walk down the beach. If you want to get to town it’s a 40mins walk but it wasn’t a huge issue for us. The views were amazing on our floor, we requested a balcony and sea view and it didn’t disappoint. The room was spacious and well equipped. The facilities at the hotel was great - the breakfast was fantastic, a great offer of weather and eastern cuisine. I used their spa facilities and the massage and facial was divine. The pool was lush! Very easy to order drinks to the pool side and the infinity pool and views were incredible. Really recommend this hotel - we loved the experience especially if you’re looking for a few days of R&R.

I start with cons, since they are more important and make pros not important. The cons are not about the hotel itself, but about surroundings that make stay in the hotel almost unbearable. If we had known the cons, we would have never stayed there. So, our advice is to stay somewhere along the beachline to the north (7 km to the north) near the Lady Budda, of 10 km dowb to the south (closer to Marble Mountains). Those areas are not well developed, but your should be able to enjoy quietness at night. Cons: 1. Outdoor karaoke all around the hotel until midnight or even later. The hotel staff can call police only after 10pm and only to karaoke that are in immediate proximity to the hotel. However, terribly loud noise coming from karaokes from much further. So go ahead and stay there if you are planning to get a breakdown on the very first night of your vacation. 2. The terrible smell just outside the hotel from the neighboring street seafood restaurant. They put huge garbage bins with rotting leftovers right on the sidewalk. Not mentioning that the bins just next to the tables. So, you can imagine the rich aroma the bins produce in the morning after a night outside at 40 C. I wonder if hotels and local don't understand that without the smell and karaoke Da Nang would be a much higher level resort. Pros: 1. The hotel itself is modern and clean. 2. The staff is friendly. 3. The breakfast is good with wide variety of eastern and western options.

Rude employees delivering prostitutes
Do NOT stay here if: 1. You have your family with you and you don't want to see the hotel's employees ushering prostitutes in at any time of day but especially night. Prostitutes show up at the reception area and they are escorted to different floors by hotel's bellboys. 2. You don't want to be insulted by hotel's employees. My wife and I had our niece come to have breakfast with us at the hotel a couple of days, breakfast we paid extra in cash every morning. One morning we were stopped in the lobby by one of the hotel's employees, asking who she was and asking to make a copy of her passport - all that while prostitutes were taken upstairs by the same employees. We have never been so insulted by a hotel in our entire lives. The hotel itself is decent but certainly not a 5-star: clean, average sized rooms, better beds than other hotels, decent breakfast, right across the street from the beach on a main street (at 21st floor we could still hear street noise). But any business is as good as its employees: and Sel de Mer has some good, hard working people (breakfast especially) but it also have some rude, uneducated people, completely clueless to how they should treat their guests. A few rotten apples turning guests like us into "never again".

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at this exceptional hotel. Our room on the 24th floor, overlooking the sea was just fabulous. We could happily have stayed longer than the 2 nights we booked. Service and breakfast was probably the best we have experienced anywhere in the world. We would like to praise one member of staff in particular who was outstanding and helped us make the most of our stay. ‘Man’ from guest services booked our trip to Ba Na Hills and negotiated a taxi price for us and gave us so much helpful information - he even sent us a What’s App message to check to see if we were enjoying our day. An absolute credit to the hotel!

It was really the best hotel on the beach. Extremely comfortable, great views, super staff. I will definitely return there. Spare yourself other hotels closer to the “action” that is noisy and grating. If you want that you can take a cheap taxi. The beach across the street is way more idyllic. Also, I have to compliment the staff. Perfection!

We absolutely loved this hotel from the moment we got out of our taxi we felt welcome Reception staff were delightful and our room was stunning. We could hear the ocean and the views from our room with terrace were incredible Room service was delicious and the spa treatments were the very best we have experienced. The pool and facilities impeccable .Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

Just a stone throw from the beach, staff was always there to help you with a smile. Room is new and clean. Air-condition was GREAT (cold and no foul smell). Breakfast was nice and they serve local dip coffee (a big plus).

The property, breakfast, facilities and staff exceeded expectations. Very quiet room with great views. As good or better than pictures display. Not convenient to Da Nang centre, so you will need transport. Beach is ok.

New hotel by the beach. The beach view and balcony is great. The Aircon is what I love most. Even in the hot weather, it cools the room very quickly. Only issue you might have is the shower are doesn't have any shampoo or soap holder. It is all placed near the bath tub.

my stay.
We checked in as the corona virus was starting to have a major impact on the world. The staff were all diligent in handling guests as they arrived and made our stay as safe and comfortable as they could. They hotel was great with fantastic facilities . Hopefully with more Hotels coming into the area the beach will be as beautiful as it is down north. But this does not take anything away from the hotel since the pool is very nice.
