Hello,The young man in the room was asked to leave the hotel due to a strong odor of cannabis coming from the room. Smoking of any kind is prohibited in all of our guest rooms. A violation of this policy is grounds to be asked to leave. The smell was noticeable throughout the terrace floor hallway. We were sold out over the weekend, and this negatively affects all guests who are walking through or staying on that hallway. Additionally, there was a young woman in the room who appeared to be patrolling the terrace hallway and waiting at hotel entrances to let in other individuals. This is a violation of our security policy, as our exterior entrances are accessed via key card only for guest safety and security. The maximum occupancy for a king room is three individuals. At one point, the girl and young man in the room were seen sprinting down the hallway to enter the room. Multiple calls were made to police (not originating from hotel staff) regarding someone being injured / in danger in the room. The police were also called regarding loud noise coming from the room. A local number called the front desk multiple times alleging that there was yelling and loud music coming from the room. This pattern of behavior is damaging to our business, disruptive to guests, is not reflective of the professional decorum that is expected of all individuals who are staying at our property.Even though this was a non-refundable reservation where our hotel policies were violated, we extended the courtesy to only charge for the first two nights stayed, the night that the young man was evicted, as well as the early departure fee. We did not charge for the whole week.
