We stayed for 2 nights in a lodge room. Nice peaceful setting, quite easy to find. We arrived at 8pm having booked a table for dinner at 8.30pm, we were the only guests eating in the restaurant at that time. Dinner we opted for fish and chips and a halloumi burger, very nice quality of food. Our visit was in order to visit Leeds Castle which was just a 10 minute drive from the hotel so convenient. Cleanliness of the room was okay but not brilliant, dust in the skirting boards by the door and seemed not to have been hoovered very well. I only notice this because I struggle with using seated mirrors so used the full length one on the back of the door. Bathroom, again clean enough but little things obviously gone unnoticed like residue in the bath/shower. Overall our stay was good and was suitable for what we needed.

Lovely quiet spacious room. Great breakfast choice and quality. Only rated 3 star and could easily achieve 4 star with a little more attention to cleanliness of room which was below average. Kettle was dirty and full of stagnant water and I ended up with a ladies stud earring in my teacup which had somehow ended up in the kettle. Dust on some surfaces. Shower not clean.

Rooms were clean and quiet. Grounds and parking easily accessible and well kept. Food for both the evening party and breakfast was superb. Well done all round Weald of Kent.

Poor all round
Stayed in a twin room in 'The lodge'. Very tired interior and cold- there didn't seem to be any heating and the building is a 5 minute walk outside from the reception/ restaurant etc. Cleanliness pretty disappointing with some grim looking stains.
I booked for two nights around a week in advance- usually I would pay through hotels.com so they can handle payment and cancellation terms/ admin is straightforward. The hotel rejected that and said I had to pay at the venue, so I accepted that. My plans then changed (as they often do with work stays) and so I needed to cancel the second night- I notified the reception of this when I arrived and asked to just have the one night stay instead. They said I had to pay for both nights anyway and then recover the money from Hotels.com. Hotels.com app didn't allow for cancellation as the stay had already begun at this point, so couldn't proceed. I checked out the following morning as expected, and the staff then told me that I was outside the cancellation policy and could no longer even get a refund through Hotels.com. None of this seems remotely necessary to me- I hadn't paid anything before arriving and they insisted I paid for two nights simply because it had been booked that way. Pretty officious and poor customer service if you ask me. I won't be going back and wouldn't recommend. Not really sure what's so difficult about being flexible and trying to help.
