Lovely place to stay!
I didn’t like the way the initial lady at reception treated us. We had booked a seaview room and when we got to the room (as you can see in the picture) the balcony was a box and there was no sea to be seen. When I asked about this, I was told that the hotel is fully booked and there is nothing that she could do to help us. As the reception area is quite big, I spoke to another gentleman who was a lovely listener and incredibly helpful. He said that the hotel was fully booked but he could offer us a garden room which was essentially a shared patio area. We were happier to move to this room however with a baby who was beginning to walk, I was hesitant to have a balcony area that was so open. Then the manager Joseph called and said that they have a room available on the 6th floor with a seaview which was perfect and just what we wanted in the first place! All the seaview rooms have partial sea views by the way. The hotel and room was lovely, there is access to the Abu Dhabi mall which has a supermarket and restaurants if you aren’t eating at the hotel. The pool and sea area are super, it was a little windy but that’s to be expected due to the location. The housekeeping team were so amazing and helpful. Just wanted to say a thank you again to the lovely gentleman on reception, I think his name began with a N or M - he was incredibly kind and helpful. He is an asset to the hotel and really did make our stay so much better! Thank you again x

This was our 4th stay at this hotel and unfortunately it wasn't as good as we have had in the past. Room wasn't what was booked (KIng bed, sea view, balcony) - however we did get a move the following day. The actual room size itself was fine - no issues with that, but standard room balconies have no furniture - so there is no where to sit outside once you leave the pool area. We did try sitting in an area other than a bar. One evening and were asked by a waiter to move inside to the seating area there as this area was for guests having drinks. We had reserved dinner for our last evening and when we got there - no reservation. However it wasn't busy so we did get a table . We were also told our final bill at checkout would be emailed to us and we are still waiting for it!!

I would not personally rate the facility as 5 starts hotel, 3.5 is fair. The room and furniture, mattress are all not suitable for what supposably a five star hotel. Room service is bad, requested an extra blanket and pillow , the blanket arrived after one hour. However, the pillow was never delivered (he said i will be right back but never returned). First hotel that i stayed on in my 14 year of travel that i call room services and had to wait for more than 3 minutes until somebody answer. In addition, maintenance work in next rooms which is noisy, be ready for your stay. The positive part is the location which is connected to the mall and the reception staff which are so kind. Other than those, i will definitely won’t rate the hotel more than 3.5 star.

At the first night we had a dinner and right after I felt very bad. I’ve got both, diarrheas and vomit. Spoke we the restoraunt crew day after. The apologies and promise to run investigation and get back to us. Moreover they offers some camomile tea and water. None of those happens. Very disappointing. In addition the smell in the room was very bad.

The Beach Rotana has been a favorite of mine since 2012. The restaurants, bar, and swimming/exercise areas are very nice. And the direct connection to the Abu Dhabi Mall is quite convenient. I was especially pleased with how quiet the room was. Love this place.

We love Beach Rotana. It was our second time to stay in the hotel. We love the pool and the amazing view. The hotel is attached to Abu Dhabi mall so we have other options to dine in. On our second time in the hotel, we noticed that the water in the pool is cloudy, maybe because we accessed it late and so many people are using it. The breakfast was okay. It was an a la carte breakfast because of Covid situation of course. Then, the AC vent in our room was dripping water. I did not bother to complain because I was so busy preparing for our appointment the next morning. The phone in the hotel is not working. We have to use our mobile phones everytime we need to talk to the reception. But the hotel was kind enough to grand my request that the two rooms that I booked be close to each other and we were allowed to check out at 14:00. And we had a nice dinner at Trader Vics. Love the food there.
