"Wonderful little property in a cute peaceful true Greek town right on the bay. Owners of hotel Galaxidi were warm and welcoming. Room was clean with air, a precious balcony overlooking town and a homemade breakfast to die for at a price that was hard to beat. They even gave us a jar of homemade jam as a parting gift. And there was parking right out front. Fantastic dining at Steki’s on the water and a delightful walk around town. It was the true feeling of Greece. "

"Nice hotel by the beach/ water in Xylokastro, with many restaurants and bars along the beach promenade. Very friendly staff. Everything was fine except that doors/ locks are noisy when you close/ open the doors, and the isolation between rooms are bad (like most hotels). Since it was low season with few guest, the noise mentioned above was no problem for us at night. Evening was very quiet."

"Facility grounds were nice but a bit dated. Rooms were very run down and left much to be desired. Safe did not work, door lock did not work, bathtub was small and had rust in it. Refrigerator was dirty, Closets had rope for door handles, air conditioning did not go lower than 22 degrees Celsius. Beds were very hard, Felt like sleeping on a board. "

"Great boutique hotel directly across the road from the beach. Walking distance to everything you need including cafes and dining options and local shopping. Private parking available which was very handy. Rooms are neat and efficient but had everything we requried or a 2 night stay. The hotel staff were great and breakfast is so peaceful sitting in the outdoor courtyard each morning. Will stay again on our next trip to Xylokastro."

"This was a remarkable hotel. 5 star at incredibly low price. Room was large enough for ballroom dancing. So clean and comfortable with wonderful waterfront view. Nice walk around the sea. "This property was stunning, from the location to the rooms. I stayed in late April so there wasn't many tourist and it was so nice and quiet, you could really enjoy the sound of nature. Adding this that you have your own fireplace in the room and they have it all set up just for you to light it on was the perfect touch. I would definitely stay again when I come back. "

"Before the motorway bypassed this town I suspect this was 'THE" place to stay! Since then, like so many Greek hotels affected by the motorway development this one has seen better days. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was very good. The lift was an asset although it did make recurring noises throughout the night. "This property was a huge disappointment. Its in an area surrounded by empty properties and it was very hard to find. The property was surrounded by trash/garbage for some reason. It was also hard to find because the signage is very small and obscured. When we got to the room it was dirty and smelled like mold. "A first class hotel with a beautiful room, staff was VERY accommodating and helpful, wonderful patio and garden. As of May 2024 there was construction on the street in front so parking and unloading was difficult, but the staff was very helpful and we would NOT let this stop you from staying here... just be aware."
