Customer service effort by Receptionist who handled check-ins on 19th & 20th June 2025 ( guests booked at Glenroyal for Glendinning wedding at Carton House) did a marvellous job in upgrading rooms from super-hot rooms to cool air conditioned rooms.
She liaised quickly with Hotel Room manager who kindly approved change of rooms.
I was initially very devastated when my guests were so uncomfortable with rooms temp after a very long haul flight from USA.
I wish to also say a big thank you to Restaurant Manager Peter & his staff who did a marvellous job organising meals for the 2 nights private pre-wedding dinner parties for my family guests.
My major recommendation for the hotel is to do everything possible to install Air conditioners in all rooms & update bathrooms with shower facilities, especially for Accessibility rooms. (It was poor facilities for two of my wedding guests who had to walk long distance, one with mobility restrictions and used a walking stick from her room to the swimming pool shower cubicle as her room only had a bath facility.
I love the ambiance of the hotel & surrounding eating/shopping facilities. I will love to stay there again but how can I be guaranteed an air conditioned room?
