Make sure you read the small print. their 'free cancellation policy' doesn't mean refund and no understanding is given to their entry level rooms. I cancelled well in advance due to the Coronavirus concerns and travel limitations when returning from China. After two weeks of jumping through loop holes (and even front desk staff confirming that the cancellation could be processed) the cancellation was repeatedly denied. The blame was passed back and forth between Expedia and Best Western. Better off booking through another booking agency as this wasn't the only expedia booking I had issues with (flight and another hotel).
