I asked about laundry at checkin. One might expect the clerk to mention that laundry detergent machine was broken to save a traveler a trip up four floors and back down to purchase detergent at front desk, but that expectation was not met in my case.

First room assigned the entry light has one dead bulb and the other kept blinking. Headboard lights blinking. Microwave flashing. Wonder if room had lost power. Was quickly assigned a new room. In this room, the Direct TV time was off (no, not CST vs MST - the time was just wrong) and the guide did not match what was on. The channels didn’t even match. Very annoying since there was a tornado watch nearby and it would have been nice to find the local channel easily. Restaurant was not open the night we checked in, but there are options nearby. Easy access to hit the highway to visit Theodore Roosevelt park.

The furniture was dirty and thrift storish. The toilet ran every time it was flushed. The bed felt like it was a piece of plywood with 4" piece of foam most uncomfortable bed i have ever slept on. Towels were discolored and mismatched. The sinks weren't installed properly. I would not recommend this motel.

It was very nice when you walked in. But, there was no daily maid service which is not a big deal to me BUT, the 2nd morning when we went to the front desk to ask the guy seemed irritated that we even asked and all we wanted was coffee for the next morning and he sort of just tossed them to us. The entrance and rooms were very clean but the rest of the building was very dirty. I was not impressed for the facility that I was told was the newest in town.

The first room we were in was very musty. I asked to switch rooms and the staff was not very nice about it. The next room smelled better but there was mold on the shower curtain and in the shower. I asked for more towels after using the 2 that were provided. I had to go down to the front desk to get them and the staff rudely asked(commented) "Didn't you receive towels with your room?" I said yes but we already used the two provided. She was annoyed. The breakfast was not great. We were there for a wedding. My sister's room was in the 300s and seemed a little better. We were in the 400s and it seemed more run down. They also agreed the staff were not very nice. The pool was chilly and the hot tub had a lot of foam in it.

Beautiful property, just a few small things kept it from being an outstanding property. Lotion dispensers were empty, tv guide was not up to date, lack of personnel at front desk, bathroom light was VERY dim, no toppings for pancakes and waffles, towels and washcloths did not match. Overall nice, but just needed a few finishing touches
