"Excellent Hotel and great staff. The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever had. When you turn left out of the property and take the Moat Garden walk to the Castle it is so peaceful and quiet. The JR bus is a couple blocks away and takes you to all the sightseeing spots and train station and is the included in your rail pass ,if you have it. My daughter already asked when are we coming back. "

"Washers in the coin laundry are free! Dryers cost 100 yen for 20 minutes. Free popsicles, coffee outside hot spring bathing areas, free ramen from 21:30, as in other Dormy Inns."

"This was the best hotel from our two-week visit to Japan. Location was ideal for visiting, a one-minute walk from Shinkansen station, and virtually connected to the trains station and its own mall. Probably 25+ food options and tons of shopping less than five minutes away. Also very convenient for catching buses which use the train station as their hub, including the bus going to Shirakawa-go. Room was decently sized and in great condition. TV had screen-sharing from phone, so we could watch Netflix and Disney+ (Japanese TV doesn't have much for non-Japanese speakers). Bed was a bit on the hard side, but that appears to be the case for all of Japan, so no worries."
