Pros: Welcoming staff, clean hotel/rooms, brand new pool, 24hr coffee machine in lobby, free breakfast (no milk/no fruit/no juice. Choices during our stay were Waffles, boiled eggs, yogurt & pancake/sausage on a stick). Cons: Pool is around 4 1/2 to 8 1/2 ft deep so no shallow area for kids except the steps. (A kiddie pool or splash pad in the grassy area would be nice) Offer milk & at least one fruit and/or juice with bfst Check all plug ins in the rooms, a few didn’t work Overall: It was a good stay for the price!

The property itself could use a bit of an update, but the people who work at this hotel make up for the lack of updates. The staff was so incredibly sweet and helpful for my entire stay. I was pleasantly surprised that breakfast was included - I could’ve been aware of this at the time of booking and forgot about it, but either way I was very happy with this. There were plenty of options available each morning (the waffles were my favorite). I added an extra night to my stay with no hassle, and was charged the same rate I had already paid instead of any up-charges. I do wish the pool area would have been accessible, but I do understand it needing to be closed for hurricane repairs. I am considering booking again next May so I hope the pool will be available then. I will definitely want to stay again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay, it was quiet and clean. On our balcony the view was beautiful and peaceful. Pool was closed for repair but it looks like it will be nice when completed. Plenty of parking. For the price, it was what we expected. Nothing super fancy but just what we were wanting if that makes sense. Breakfast was included and they had a nice coffee machine.

it is normally always a wonderful stay at this Hotel. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. This time is did notice that the floors were not clean in the room, as it is tile when i walked to the shower bare foot and stepping my feet were nasty from the floor. And the shower pressure and water temperature in our room was not normal and it took 1 minutes to get hot water which was only luke warm with the cold water turned off.

The girl at the front desk was great. Everything else left much to be desired. Because it was independent, I thought it might be a nice surprise hotel. But it was a surprise in the not so nice direction.

The Beachside was perfect for what I needed, a quick, one-night stop. The room was comfortable and clean, and I got a good night’s rest. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. However, like every property around it, The Beachside suffered significant storm damage. The deck and pool were damaged and off limits. The sliding glass door to the balcony would not lock. Once repairs are finished, I’d up this rating significantly.
