Having stayed many times at Oaks Charlotte Tower a few blocks away, and lately at the Link at Portside Wharf and Alcyone, both at Hamilton I had some ideas what to expect. The rooms was obviously smaller, the kitchen a little bit run down, drawers etc. starts to go apart .2 safes ? ,2 TV's. A large in the lounge room ,,but the one in the bedroom was far to small.Otherwise the place was nice and clean, breakfst. was OK, though missed the bacon and some different bread (only toast bread). Very nice and close to CBD. Upon arrival at 2 Am we were greeted by a young lady, who among others said that due to us arriving Thursday and leaving Sunday we would not have our room tided up at all due to the weekend ? Anyway, we noticed only 3 towels (we were 3 adults) and 3 pieces of face towel, and we thought : Are they going to last until Sunday (we are clean people and shower minimum a couple of times a day and one of the guests was a lady with long hair). We left and arrived back at 8 pm Thursday evening and a senior lady was at the counter. We inquired very politely for the possibility to have another 3 towels considering we were staying until Sunday and were already told that no one would check on the room until we left. The lady said that it was not possible until the following morning, and besides we had a wash machine in the room. We protested, and she finally agreed to have them brought up to the room, they arrived at 850 pm, great. The rest of the staff very friendly.
