We were offered a bottle of wine upon arrival and accidentally spilled some. We cleaned it up with a hand towel were charged $65!!! What a scam! The ‘free’ coffee downstairs was also out of order

The hotel was conveniently located in Old San Juan which was perfect! Not to say all rooms are but ours was small with really no view so that was a little disappointing. Other than that our rooms were clean, beds were fine, check in was easy, and staff were friendly. I would definitely stay again when visiting Old San Juan. FYI parking can be challenging..

My family of four just spent 2 days at the Decanter Hotel on the tail end of our 10-day Puerto Rico adventure (Rincon, Culebra, Viejo San Juan). We were so impressed by the convenient and central location of the hotel, along with the spacious, well-appointed, clean rooms. The hotel has terrific character that fits in so well with this amazing town. It is in front of the 2nd oldest church in the Americas, and an easy walk to all key points of Old San Juan. Check-in was easy. There is a great rooftop bar (Coco Old Fashioned = yummy). And they have an amazing coffee machine that I wish I had in my own house. This is definitely a place to strongly consider staying.

Loved the historical building with some old world charm with rooms being up to date with all amenities. Our room had a squeaky mattress when sitting on the edge of the bed. Also, no hot water in the shower…..but would stay there again!
