Great stay overall
We stayed for only one night in the private room. The room has more a homey than modern feel and that suits us fine. It is reasonably roomy as it has a sitting area with a small sofa and a single lounge chair. The beds are also comfortable. The location is great and very close to the Kintetsu Nara train station. We'll definitely consider staying there next time if we visit Nara again.

Enjoyed our stay
Very close & walking distance to train stations and tourist spots. In a good location. Our host was very friendly and our room was very clean & comfortable. Guests that were staying next door were very nosy, unfortunately we were able to hear them which was a little disruptive. Overall we would definitely stay again.

Excellent location for shopping, eating and sightseeing. Enjoyed the family room unit with small kitchen. The unit only provided bath towels. Wash cloths/hand towels would have been appreciated. Also installing towel hooks or a towel hanging bar next to the bathroom sink would be helpful.

場所は近鉄奈良駅からとても近く、商店街のど真ん中に位置しています。 安くて1番近い駐車場を選んで徒歩10分程かかり、車で行かれる方には少し不便かと思います。 ゆったり寛げるかと思い、広い部屋が空いていたので予約しました。 部屋は大きな窓があり、明るくて良いと思いきや、カーテンを開けると向かいの建物の住民から丸見えになるので、終始カーテンをしていました。 鼻のいい連れが、入った時から部屋の中が臭いと言うので、窓を開けて換気したかったのですが、開けにくい形状の窓で、取り敢えず換気扇を付けました。 その後、蚊が部屋に入ってる事が分かり、窓に網戸が付いて無い事に気付き、結局チェックアウトまで換気扇で部屋の換気をする事になりました。 就寝前に刺されたら嫌なので、目を凝らして必死に蚊の退治をしました。 もうクーラーの必要の無い季節なのに、また蚊が入るかと思うと窓も開けられず、自然の風を入れられない事に気持ち悪さを感じました。 騒々しさは無く、とても静かでよく眠れた事は良かったです。 当然あるものと思い用意して来なかったのが悪いのですが、アメニティーグッズに歯ブラシが無い事にはビックリしました。寝間着なく、バスタオル各自1枚だけ。 同じくらいお安い宿泊代の宿と比べて、アメニティーグッズの点は不満を感じました。隅に置いてある箱の中身は何か？と見ましたら、小さな子供用のオモチャでした。 テレビがあっても、TV放送は観られず、契約しているアマゾンプライム・ビデオのみ観れるという事でガッカリでした。このアマゾンプライム・ビデオも、小さな子供向け重視なのか、観たいものがなかなか見つからずでした。 それにしても、必ずしも宿泊者に小さな子供がいる訳ではないので、オモチャを置く位なら、フェイスタオルをもう1枚づつ置いて欲しかったです。 何より困ったのは、シャワーの水圧が低過ぎる事。温度設定を高くして、水を加えましたが、それでも洗髪にすごく時間がかかりました。ロングヘアの方は大変困られると思います。 口コミ評判が良いのを見て選ばせて頂きましたが、正直ガッカリしました。

総合的にはとても良いホテルでした！！ しかし、チェックインが20時までなのは 大変かもしれません（ ｉ _ ｉ ） (チェックイン後は時間制限なく自由に出入りできます) とても清潔で朝ごはんも美味しく大満足でした♡ 立地は神です！！ お部屋も清潔でベッドも寝やすかったです！ また是非利用させて頂きたいです！

奈良で一押しのゲストハウス
初めて宿泊させて頂きました、近鉄の駅のすぐ近くにあり、とても清潔・静かで、ドミトリーでしたが夜もよく眠れました。私は外国語を少し話すので外国の方とも楽しくお話しできました。リーズナブルな宿泊費にもかかわらず美味しい朝食まで頂け感謝感謝。是非また泊まらせて頂きたいゲストハウスです。

Not knowing much about Nara I booked my accommodation purely on price basis. I have never booked in a guest house before and I feared for the worse. This one star choice of mine proved comfortable and beyond expectations. For some unknown reason Expedia booked a family suite, with kitchen, shower room and even a small lounge area. The place is old but clean and for the budget traveler is a good choice.

Good site for family
Unlike what being stated in the booking , the site did not offering any breakfast package. Even if so, they willing to share 2 egg for my daughter.

central location and large room with kitchen
We stayed in the family room with private bathroom and kitchen. Be aware that this room is categorized by the owners as Family Inn Nara and not Nara Guesthouse 3F. The difference is that breakfast is not included. This is not clear on hotels.com but kan be seen on booking.com. Pros: good size room and more space in the bathroom than most japanese hotels. Nice with access to an outdoor space. Clean. Functioning kitchen. Central location. Cons: difficult to find (located on the third floor above Gram's and a cat café (as of autumn 2018)). Window in kitchen couldn't close completely which was drafty - owner made aware of it. Not a problem now but wouldn't want to stay there during winter.

Wow Location! see some deer, rest in clean comfort
Nice place is in a superb location. The staff is friendly and helpful and English speaking, but you better arrive during reception hours on your checkin date. After you have checked in, you will have 24 hour access to the inn. The best rooms are the Japanese style rooms, they are more spacious,have nice windows overlooking the street and are closer to the showers and toilet. There are five rooms in all, one is a female dormitory, the other four are all suitable for couples. Easy to find if you arrive at Kintetsu station. If you arrive from JR, you will have a long walk if you are burdened with luggage. If you arrive at JR, maybe consider taking a cab to Kintetsu station and walking from there. The inn will send you an email detailing how to get there from either arrival point. The inn seems frequented by women travelers, mostly domestic, traveling alone or in pairs. Breakfast is self-serve, complimentary and is better than most. If you are a first time traveler from the US, be aware that rooms in Asia are smaller. Bathrooms are smaller and in the case shared with other guests. The Nara Guesthouse 3F is a good value considering it’s location. It is spotlessly clean, thanks to a young ladies that work to keep it so.

Amazing location, friendly staff!
Nara Guesthouse is in an amazing location, very close to the park and lots of restaurants and shops. The staff were very friendly and the place overall felt cosy. The only downside was that our room didn't have a window, but this doesn't really make much of a difference on a short stay.

Hard to find in the dense urban mix, but quiet comfort and clean. Service was great; originality booked 2 nights,wife’s illness required 2 more - staff helped > Thanks!

This guesthouse is in a great location for walking to Nara Park, restaurants, shopping, and the train and bus stations. The accomodations are fresh, clean, and modern, and especially suited for tall people. We really appreciated the high ceilings and doorways, and the roomy washroom facilities. This was my second stay at the Nara Guesthouse 3F. I hope to have a third stay some day.

Séjour parfait
La guesthouse est idéalement placé à Nara. Elle est à quelques minutes à pied de la gare et juste à côté du jardin et des temples. Elle se trouve dans un quartier touristique ce qui permet d'avoir un grand choix de resto juste en bas de la guesthouse. Nous étions dans la chambre familliale qui se trouve être très confortable et spacieuse. Nous avions accès à une terrasse très agréable pour prendrai le petit-déjeuner.

Great find in Nara!
We booked on location and price, it was a bit difficult to find (last 3 blocks pedestrian access onl), But modern (elevator), clean and well kept, competent staff. Spose’s health required a 2 day extension, they were accommodating but had to move to smaller room. Nara shrines, park and museum were within most folks comfortable walking range. Lots to do nearby, good healthy breakfast. Lots of shops, bars, restaurants and services available all around you (it’s like living at the mall!) Only negative was that only one toilet was available for males 😟; overall best service per $ in our 4 weeks in Japan!

Hübsches und zentrales Hostel
Der Service im Hostel ist sehr freundlich und bietet ein günstiges Frühstück an, dass man seinen individuellen Bedürfnissen anpassen kann. Man kann zB auch ein vegetarisches Frühstück bestellen, was in Japan nicht überall selbstverständlich sind. Im Gemeinschaftsraum kann man mit anderen Leuten ins Gespräch kommen. Das Wlan ist schnell und funktioniert gut. In unmittelbarer Umgebung sind Restaurants, ein Katzencafé und diverse Shops für Klamotten und Souvenirs. Innerhalb von ein paar Gehminuten ist man im Nara Park und kann die dortigen zahmen Hirsche bewundern und streicheln. Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen und ich kann es jedem vollstens empfehlen.

清潔で良かったです。ロケーションも最高です。ただ、電話番号の記載がないので何かあった場合、どう問い合わせしたらよいのか迷いました。また、キッチンも自由に使える感じではなく、ちょっとした飲み物を飲みたい時にどうしたらよいか、宿の方にお尋ねしましたが、よくわかりませんでした。サービスには余り慣れていない感じでしたが、親切な対応はして頂けたと思います。

great location!
friendly staff! great room with small kitchen and lounge area all to ourselves. EXCELLENT location just an elevator ride into the heart of Nara and ten min walk to the nara deers!
