We were disappointed that the beautiful exterior did not match the service nor the stay internally.
- upon checkin, we were told we would “have priority” for housekeeping and they would call us. At 3pm, we checked in, and our keys were obviously ready but no one had called after a long unshowered day of trying to stay awake waiting.
- the temperature in the room was either freezing or melting, no in between
- pillows were TERRIBLE and the bed sheets were made without a sheet and short sheeted so you could never be fully covered
- the bar “the Fitz” was inaccessible to hotel guests without a reservation. Fine, but upon check-in it would have been nice for someone to say they have private events in every room and could they help us make an rsvp for our own hotel! It was as to come back to a beautiful lobby and be told they could not accommodate any guests for a night cap. Just a very unfriendly vibe like you were an outsider and not a guest the whole time.
